Looks like you're doing a good job at the awareness, Paul. I learned lots right here.

Well summarised Paul. On point #3 which you describe perfectly - who recalls the landmark 1988 QED documentary where Paul's TLC friend John was harangued at school, isolated, ridiculed, locked in cupboards and then placed in a remedial class despite his higher than average intelligence all because he had vocal tics? 4 decades later it would be nice to think the education system has evolved to accommodate the needs of these young people but one still wonders.

You're doing it better than me then, only now do I know it's TS awareness month. But then again I have been learning about TS this entire spring.

Although I don’t have verbal tics I’ve noticed an increase in my motor tics when I watch you.

It is pretty common. I have a friend with TS. He told me of a camp for children with TS. It had a little backside. After a week a kid would have copied the ticks of multiple others. And it could be really annoying for them. Lucly the extra ticks stopped after a while.

How do you fall asleep when ticking with Tourette’s or does it switch itself off when you lie in bed?
