  • On Monday morning, a chain-reaction crash near Occoquan left four people hospitalized, including two with serious injuries. The incident happened at 8:16 a.m. on December 2nd when a tractor-trailer hauling a dump truck bed veered off Va. 123 (Gordon Boulevard), crashing into three parked vehicles, a tree, and a condominium building.
The truck careened into the condominium parking lot, striking multiple vehicles before coming to a stop. Thankfully, no one inside the building was injured, but several residents are expected to be displaced due to moderate structural damage.
Police are still investigating the cause of the crash, according to Master Police Officer Renee Carr, spokeswoman for Prince William County Police. A building official continued assessing the damage late Monday morning, while fire and rescue crews worked to clear the scene. Va. 123 was closed for several hours, causing significant traffic delays.
