Sorry to have to say this, but it would help if you thought a little more about what you were going to say BEFORE you spoke, instead of all the stuttering and hesitation - also, it would have a lot more meaning if you actually played a few contextual examples, because frankly, whatever you were trying to say went straight over my head!!

Carefully read what you typed. It makes your comment seem rather funny:
"it would help if you thought a little more about what about you were going to say BEFORE you spoke, instead of all the stuttering and hesitation"

An accidental extra "about" - a moment of word blindness. Spotted it once I read it back later, but you can't edit a post once posted! C'est la vie.

Just for future reference, you CAN edit: Hover over the right upper corner of your comment. Three vertical dots will appear. Left click on them and the "Edit" and "Delete" options come up. :-)

That's a not a good state of mind to learn Jazz. To learn Jazz and attend all what these great musicians have achieved, it takes a lot of patience, and also, you have to be very honnest with yourself. So here are two great things that i suggest to you to work on before getting into one of these videos. It'll be with no doubt, very helpful for you.

Not too sure exactly what you are getting at - I have been playing jazz for 40++ years, musical director, arranger, and guitarist in a (very successful) 10 piece band for 20++ years, so your "two great things that I suggest to you to work on before getting into one of these videos" falls totally wide of the mark and is aimed at the wrong person!!!! Oh, and the word honest has only one "n" in it!!

The best things a guitar instructor can say is "AND WHAT I MEAN BY 'THAT' IS , xyz blah blah blah etc..." because although music is a universal language guitar instruction is often misunderstood through bad words or choices of how to explain things...

Lage seems to understand that "words alllways fall short when describing ways and or tools used for expressing art and OBVIOUSLY MUSIC in this case , or even literature and movies"
