This was quintessential Henry Turner content. A little rain, moody skies, of course sheep, and then in typical fashion, through a lot of perseverance, a great shot in spite of hitting the summit a little behind schedule. Well done!

Thanks Henry for telling us about the Simon Reeves programme about The Lakes. I watched the first episode yesterday. It was a great insight into the diversity of the area around the National Park. I found it quite emotional in places. Seeing the struggling young sheep farmer (incredible). The lovely Galloway cattle and the beautiful Herdwicks. The contrast of the touristy areas, second homes against the backdrop of the poorer areas like Barrow. It was truly eye opening. Simon Reeves is passionate about what he does, as are you. The enthusiasm of you both is very inspiring.

Yes - the Lake District videos by Simon Reeve are great. Whilst he shows the pictorial beauty of the Lakes, the message I take from him is that the Lakes often show severe enviromental damage. Overgrazing by cute-looking sheep, lack of tree cover, poor vegetation contributes a lot towards lack of biodiversity and increased flood risk. Anyway, whilst we still have the Lakes, it's great to see you explore the fells and be inspired by Wainwright...

2 beautiful images Henry, you absolutely nailed the waterfall in my opinion. Good lesson in persistence as well with the after sunset colour as I’ve leaned that lesson a few times especially walking back and turning round and setting up the camera again for an encore

There’s quite a lot of volcanic dust and gas in the upper atmosphere of the northern hemisphere at the moment. Not just because of Iceland and La Palma - others around the northern Pacific rim have been busy, too. The result could be some very colourful sunsets & rises for a few months.

Hi Henry, what a cracking day out, and a well earned brew at the top. Both images are absolutely marvellous, Red Pike .. one definitely to remember. I also watch all of Simon Reeves' series on the beeb (the latest being on the Lakes as you say) , and agree it is both entertaining, educational and poignant in equal measure. Good to see you're back on top form, after you had an outbreak of the infinite mucus engine .. and hope the suggestion about hot chocolate, peach schnapps and marshmallows was useful.

I am finding your VLOGs excellent viewing and learning tool. The question I like to ask: when taking a picture do you zoom out say to 200mm then zoom backward to 35mm until you get the picture you are looking for? Once again continue what you are doing. Deffo have the right format

Hi Henry, great video, love the waterfall, and yes, you're absolutely right about hanging around after the sunset. I like taking shots of the surrounding area in the soft low light. I particularly enjoy "scaling mountains with you cos at 69 I would find them difficult to master now. So thanks for taking me with you. Hope you had a good cuppa up there and am now going to look at your prints. Take care.

Another brilliant shared (with us) expedition. The last shot was breathtaking (and the waterfall was pretty damned fine!). I've said it before - but I do really like your choice of music. It adds such atmosphere and at times poignancy. As usual, after watching the video I just want to get out there! Hope you got model release for the scratchy Herdwicks. Keep up the great work!

Fantastic video and images. With regard to the first image (of the waterfall), stupid question...is it possible to do a vertical panorama as opposed to a horizontal panorama so as to get more of the waterfall in shot? Cheers.

Hello there my good sir! How are you? A question for you.. is the red in the rocks of Red Pike caused by the amount of clay in the rocks or is it some other chemical reaction 'or summat'? You probably haven't got a clue and are probably thinking " How the heck do I know, I only climb and photograph the damn things! What am I The National Geographic?!" LOL

Do you tell anyone where you are .
