I wish they didn't spend pages on hobbying and pic of models. Those things are readily availible everywhere on the internet. I would prefer more expansion content. Still excited for this release though!
Funny enough, no! The Institute aren't in this expansion, as they do already have their own card pack. This one has the railroad, Gunners and Children of Atom plus some creatures like the Yao Guai, and the big boi Swan.
Great review! Bought the PDF awhile ago, but must have the hard copy. Totally enjoy your reviews as you show additional points of view that some may have initially missed (including me, of course). Always good having a second pair of eyes checking it out! Really would like to see a Battle Report on any of the Commonwealth scenarios when you can work it into your schedule. I rolled the blue die, got a bottlecap, so now I'm addicted to them and fresh out of Addictol!

Absolutely hated the punch out cards and hoped they would drop them completely to be honest, ruined several of the cards due to the cards not being perforated correctly with tearing and the top layer being torn off, it's good that they've improved them but the risk remains in case of a bad batch. (and Modiphius track record with quality control is not exactly the best)
It's a fair complaint! This run is much more punch-out friendly compared to the last, but it would be nice to see the olds-school packs without the book as an option as well.
Top notch video as always dude, and a top notch expansion. I really liked the new Vegas expansion, but I feel I'll use the commonwealth expansion a lot more in my games.
The cards in the pack are just for the most recent wave (railroad, gunners, CoA, new creatures, etc.) but the region and terrain rules can be used for any faction / wave. But the Modiphius FWW downloads page has nearly all the other cards for free as PDFs!
Should I should made that more clear - the digital version was an early copy from the Modiphius team (I helped with some proof reading in the book). The cards are avilable digitally on the downloads page, but the book is only avilable in hard copy for now

Good question! The paint guides all use Army Painter colours, so the Wargames Hobby Starter Paint Set would be a decent starting point if you wanted to keep on-brand

I'm starting with the basic two player set, but also with the Caesar's Legion and NCR wave, and I thought I only needed the cards. Do I also need the New Vegas Expansion book? Thanks!
You're very welcome, gald you're enjoying the videos! No, the expansion books aren't needed to play but add some extra goodies - if you have the two player set core rules you're good to go! Each expansion comes with some cards and new add-ons. Most of the cards are avilable for free on the Modiphius downloads page, or on the FWW app
The new Vegas book gets you the cards for the Vegas wave. You should check out the app, access to all the cards for a small monthly subscription, or buy them a bit cheaper, if you don't want a subscription. The two player starter content is on the app for free too! Means you can buy whatever minis you want and dont have to worry about ordering different physical packs of wave cards.

Good question! The paint guides all use Army Painter colours, so the Wargames Hobby Starter Paint Set would be a decent starting point if you wanted to keep on-brand
