Thanks for you tips, I have started the roller hockey 3 years ago I have 37 years old But I like it I m feel like a young boy when I ride I m so happy to have discovered this sport I don't know stop with my roller skate I hope succeed a day.
Hi John thanks for making this video. What are the steps to get to a pro tournament if you did play competitively as a teenager but now you are adult and basically new to the game again but can still play pretty decent?
Hello. Quick question, I just received my Bauer RS senior Hi-lo (yellow wheels). I do freestyle ice hockey, but with these bauer rs, I can’t seem to do a hockey stop (parallel glide). Are the wheels that came with this skates can possibly do the Parallel glide at least? Given that the skates are just a day old? (Can it slide after a few wears?) Or do i need a special wheels to power glide? (I really can’t afford at the moment) so I’m trying to check the possibilities. Cheers!
I watched your marsblade promo video and decided to buy a pair . I went to just hockey here in TO for the installation and they had someone inexperienced to do the setup for me. One wheel is hardly moving and the rocker does not seem to move. How do you know if the installation is done correctly ?Any advice on where to go? Thanks
Give my man a call!!! He does a lot of mine and teammates skates. Tell him I told you to call he can help you perfectly Steve Duffy thesharpshackma@gmail.com
This tennis court is some type of sport court. Not sure what it exactly is. I use a company called Mateflex surfaces. If you give them a call and say John Schiavo sent you, you will receive a discount!
Can you, for style only, do the one leg stop on the outside edge? You know, the referee stop, on wheels? I feel like it should be possible with enough commitment but idk.
I wouldn’t count on it, but it might be possible on certain materials. There’s so much friction with roller blades so It would be extremely difficult. I’d assume it’s impossible on asphalt and not much easier on every other material.

Great informative video bud! Sports courts are tough surfaces to stop on!
Once you can get the hang of it on sport court, it truly makes every other surface easier to learn on!!
Going roller for the first time tomorrow. Wish me luck
HockeyBoy 7777 good luck i got back to it two days ago i manage not fall hopefully i can keep it up lol
I started roller this week and I’ve been skating for hours everyday. I really miss the ice but rollerblading outside has been pretty awesome.

what is the difference between this stop and the magic slide in inline skating ?
Never heard of a magic slide in hockey skates
What’s that material there on?
Wait nvm he just said it

yes you can. It is extremely hard outdoors to do it, but indoor roller hockey on sport court you can absolutely do it!
I’d call that a power stop, not a hockey stop or parallel slide.
too big inline skates for that kid
He already grew out of them by a full size...
