met with a serious accident on my optra 06 SS model, head on collision, i had a rib fracture, my wife had rib and hand fracture, my nephew sitting in the back seat walked out with minor scratches, impact was easily 100km/h, mine about 60 and the oncoming 40. during welding , welder says this car has 4 reinforced steel plates, about as strong as a Beemer. Reality Rules, The car saved our lives.

Even though there is a side air bag, it doesn't cover the chest area which can be affected in a side swipe, like the example at 0:20.

I think the Chevrolet optra in Venezuela its a great deal, first of all inst that expensive and you will have leather seats, sunroof, angel eye head lights, digital display for AC comands, independent from and rear suspention, 122 - hp 1.800 engine... Plus you will have it with steeringwheel controls for the radio and the chevystar telephone also it comes with 4 twitters and 4 speakers with digital sound. Electric windows, locks and fug lights and also signal lights in the side mirrows. Excelent

it has a 4 star rating from NHTSA but there is a safety concern for the rear passenger as the dummy head struck the C-Pillar they picked up high force readings which may cause possible head trauma. The car earned a poor rating in IIHS side impact test

Lacetti hatchback is the greatest hatchback, HE never failed me, whenever I had something urgent to do, always there for me, never failed me on road, went to all kind of roads, so all you who speak bad about Lacetti you can just crawl into your puny little volkswagens, toyotas, and others and drop dead or embrace raw power of CHEVROLET!!!
