- I am reviewing the Fender Player Series Stratocaster. This is a special edition from Chicago Music Exchange in Sea Foam Green with a three ply Mint Pick guard. I played this through a Carvin Nomad Tube Amp and used a Zoom Tube screamer model and some reverb. No special mics were used. This was recorded on an iPhone 11.

Dear friend, could you ask me a question? I bought one 01 month ago and I still couldn't get it to a good string height. Could you tell me what height of strings you left on yours? And if you needed to do some alignment on the frets, something like that.

Locking tuners may eliminate tuning issues. I have the exact same guitar and I got locking tuners and they really helped stabilize the guitar.
What is the song that you play? I love it😁
So I own this exact guitar in the same finish and I also own an $1,800 Fender American Professional II in Midnight Blue or “Dark Night”. There is a decent difference between the pickup sounds (not accounting for the APII’s ability to add the neck pickup in the 3rd and 4th toggle positions) but a much bigger difference between the overall feel between both, that being the APII body and neck are much more comfortable. As a Strat player, I have never used the whammy bar on them. I reserve that more aggressive playing for my Ernie Ball Music Man Axis guitars. On my Strats, I install all 5 bridge springs straight across (no possible angles) and screw the tremolo claw all the way against the body. This keeps the bridge completely flush against the body and helps keep the Strats in tune much better. With that said, however, my APII Strat NEVER goes out of tune even with extreme 2 whole note bends (or more) or with hours of playing. However, my Player series still goes out of tune no matter what. I’ve checked every last nook and cranny of the Player guitar to make sure everything is tight and secure but doesn’t help. I have 2 buddies who have the same guitar and both complain about the same out-of-tune issues but just deal with it. Both my Strats are completely broken in, as I know new guitars will naturally go out of tune until the wood is broken in. Just be aware of this issue with the Fender Player series…especially if you are a nut like me about guitars going slightly to extremely out of tune.

Do you think this attributed to the new two-point bridge? I have the pre-player series MIM version of this colored guitar with classic six point.

So is this different from a normal player strat? Its $100 less online but listed separately so idk if its more or less the same thing
I think it's the same, but the color is what makes it limited edition. That's my conclusion anyways.
