Me too, a lot of people say it's repetitive, but I like it because it feels like playing a dungeon crawler collecting items and materials, using the best team to overcome the challenges and also a pretty good way to level up any characters that need to be stronger.
dont need a guide. just look for the stages which the final battle has no famous officers. you literally cant get confused. the amount of battles is random most things are in this mode. the 5 battles was right before the 4th areas final battle.

This is a longshot but what recommended team would you use in Gauntlet mode? I have Xu Shu, Ryu Hayabusa and Zhang Fei. They all have one promotion. I have Zhou Tai and Zhao Yun for the last 2 spots. Tai and Yun can be replaced. I'm looking for more efficient killing machines lol
All you really need is Xu Shu. Press R1 all day. Get buffs on his weapon that improve with hit count etc. Like the 300 combo ones. As for extra muscle? Ryu Hayabusa is a monster. So is orochi x.

If you want like swift and quick kills with Zhao Yun I recommend empowering his musou move and having these attributes to make him a monster. Flak Destruction Wrath Osmosis Absorption Agility Tri-Element Windslay Aggression/Alacrity/Procurement/Dominance/Echo/Typhoon/Bastion for the 8th attribute. I kill so fast with him by far than Orochi X (but Orochi X has far better survivability) and he basically becomes Master Bison on spam mode. and his musou is very quick too, one of the fastest in the game
Yes, I watched it. I think I am missing how, I did exactly what you said going on the way the the polygon and beating that, I beat hundun, am I missing something. If it’s too much trouble, don’t worry about it. :)

Am I the only one that finds Hundun cute? I loved him from the moment I saw him. Unlocking him was very satisfying.

He'll appear in a random stage. Search around.

Jers, How did you lose all your middle keystones? Was it just opening levels and not beating them?
I lost keystones cause I was resetting stages to make new officers spawn in them. Was trying to collect all the officers in gauntlet mode.
I'm confused I just beat my first gauntlet and beat hundun but I didn't unlock him? Do I have to beat story mode as well?
Speak to someone in town, it should unlock him for gauntlet mode and also story. It's been a few years, so I don't remember very clearly.

Use ayane and then musou spam shes breaks the game haha
Zhang Jiao also beast. Musou attack is incredible

Nope. Just complete Gauntlet mode once and DLC stages unlock. (for PS4 anyway, idk about anything else)

Did you defeat Hundun? The moment you defeat him, the option becomes available. I explain this in the video.
I THOUGHT I cleared all red ones, but I didn't know how to switch levels/layers.
I know now :)
Finally i found the way out of red stones :D

Once you beat the stage, need to press the button to go to 'Level 2'. If you're on PS the button is R1. (bottom of the screen)

All of this is to 100% complete gauntlet mode, not for 1 character.
You unlock Hundun fast if you just do the stages I show in the video and listen.
Do you keep your progress after replaying from beginning?
Progress as in character levels? Yes. Once you unlock the purple stages, won't have to replay from beginning anymore.

how come the Mounts are Banned in Gauntlet Mode?
Cause those buttons are used for formations I believe.
You can move faster than any mount if you equip all of the speed items.
