I hope you are doing great. I'm back with another hopefully relaxing video in which I'm drawing many different kinds of spiral designs with a Spirograph toy. I have to say that I would have never expected it to be such a great way to relax. Playing with this kit was so effective in calming my nerves that I was literally dozing off at the end of making this video. Personally I really like looking at geometrically perfect shapes such as theese spiral designs to say nothing of being able to create them by myself. According to Wikipedia, the Spirograph was invented in nineth century by a Polish mathematician Bruno Abakanowicz. ''It was used for calculating an area delimited by curves. The Spirograph was a 2014 Toy of the Year finalist in 2 categories, almost 50 years after the toy was named Toy of the Year in 1967.''

The pens he uses are Stabilo Fine Tip (0.4mm). They're great pens especially for art.

It’s good for lining and small details, but some use them to fill out colours and REALLY challenge how easy they can be to dry out.

Hey surge! I loved the video but I have a request. In your soap carving video I love the part early on where you just tap the soap on the sides then do some fast tapping on it. I get insane tingles from just that part and I was wondering if you could maybe do either a second soap carving where you have some more tapping and slapping on the soap or just a short video where you do some more tapping and slapping on soap. Looking at the comments I'm a little surprised that so many kids had this but didn't know how to use it! I distinctly remember when I got a set of these. My mom is a psychologist and one of her patients gave a used set to me and my brother when we were little; she then showed us how it was used. Some of the pieces were missing but it was still so amazing to us that we loved it anyway.

He taps it across the screen because his insane microphones are on either side of the camera. Tapping it from side to side is making the sound start from one headphone/earphone to the other, you know, that awesome feeling when you can hear something in one headphone at a time.

The Spirographs looked AMAZING
As soon as those markers rolled across the table, I knew I would easy sleep tonight. ASMR with words always kinda freaked me out, me but this, with just the sound that travels from headphone to headphone, is heavenly.
So did you try to sleep, and when you heard the markers got up to write the comment and go back to sleep? Or did you fall asleep, and the next morning searched for the exact same video again just to write that comment

Love the binaural effect and the spirograph instruction! I had one as a kid and could have used better pens back then! Thanks for doing such a good job on this video. It is a sensory experience.
I think asmrsurge lacks a larger amount of subscribers because of his channel personality. His videos are amazing, but he doesn't demonstrate a quirky or distinct personality in most of his videos (that I can see). He is a funny guy (as you can see in the description of this video), but there is not enough personal flair in the actual videos to attract a larger fanbase.
don't get me wrong, I really love his videos, I was just thinking about why he has so little subs, and came to this conclusion.
I wouldn't say he has 'little subs' at all, 160k is quiet a lot! But I do think he deserve more subscribers, his videos are great

Back then when I was in elementary school, this was supposed to be a "hits". You're the coolest kid in school if you have a lot of this with different size of round ruler (the one we put the pen in it). I don't know this is called spirograph untill now, back then we used to called it round ruler lmao
