I will NEVER understand what most Slipknot fans want/expect at this point. It's 2014. The members of Slipknot are growing older and they've lost 2 members. Wishing for them to make another self-titled or Iowa album is nothing short of selfish. So you want them all to be drugged-out, drunk and hate each other for another album cycle? The tracks on The Gray Chapter are what the BAND wanted to make. There's still some anger, there's melody; it's art. They really don't owe us anything. I'm glad this track is getting more of a positive reception, but please, if you really want to hear self-titled or Iowa, go listen to self-titled or Iowa.

Been listening to this since it came out, and it's fucking incredible. It's like the perfect mix of Iowa and Self Titled's intensity, and the maturity and awesome melodies from Vol 3 and AHIG. Every album the Knot put out brings something new to the table.

Was at a Slipknot show about 4 years back. There was an older lady working security and was at the front right by the stage. I was really close to front so I could see her. I’m guessing she never really listened to Slipknot because any song after Custer, she wouldn’t dance or anything. But when this song came on, she went crazy. On the chorus, she would put her arm up with her hand in a fist, and would throw it in the air over and over while in sync with “cut, cut, cut me up”. I was having a hard time not watching her instead of the actual show 🙊. I hope she has grandkids because she’d be one badass grandma! 🤘🏻
