By the end of the story, You'll find out Gon is a sociopath who was luck and got raised by a decent family and found good friends. He's more dangerous and unpredictable than Hisoka.
@@cedriquebenjaminpedri1961 That's a bit of an exaggeration. A sociopath is someone who's unable to feel empathy for others. Gon is highly empathetic. He's just got a flimsy sense of morals which is to be expected of a child who was raised without a father figure and throughout the story has navigated through the amoral and violent landscape that is the world of Hunters.
@@insertname485 exactly!! i can't stand the weird (and inaccurate) fanon that gon is a sociopath when he has _many_ times over proven how much he's _not._ i wouldn't even say his morals are particularly flimsy, he was raised with good values thanks to mito and he remembers and lives by them to the best of his ability. but as you said, he's a child who was raised without his father. who knows how his first few years with his dad before he was left with mito messed up his head tbh, and then on whale island he grew up incredibly socially isolated, which if this pandemic has taught us anything about kids being socially isolated, it's that it really screws up their psychology. gon is a good kid, but he's got a real selfish streak on top of being extremely naive. he's very emotional and impulsive, too. all those things combined can make him very unpredictable and even at times dangerous yeah, but he's not a sociopath or even a bad person by any means. honestly, he's a very realistic portrayal of a child with those kinds of life circumstances living in that kind of world. togashi did an insanely great job with his characters.
9:04 Geretta said Gon's intense concentration to his target will be his downfall. He forgot about his surroundings letting himself get attacked by Geretta's blow dart. He didn't even noticed Goz (spear guy) hiding in the bush next to him.
I tot twas realistic how upset killua was abt the draft and him doubting himself. He's all of us with the imposter syndrome despite knowing in his mind that he's better than Gon in combat.
That's true but i think the reason Gon was higher on the list than him was because Killua gave up during the ball game with Netero. Gon stayed all night and even though he never took the ball from Netero, he proved his determination and mental fortitude. Also Gon constantly looks out for his friends and other contestants while Killua just looks out for himself
@@comeatmebro8120 no I think they don't look at power but effort. Killua never did something outstanding despite him being so powerfull. Netero knows when someone is strong so he analyses them differently then other participants
So alike and so awesome but so distinct too. If you've watched both animes then you know there's intense similarities but they are all their own people. That's the work of an amazing author
It’s so funny watching them struggle to understand what’s happening, but then ALSO struggle to explain to each other what’s happening when they themselves still don’t know what’s happening!
It's a cruel test that Netero has put together here. If it were a regular fight, it could have been over very quickly. Hanzo would have knocked Gon out, end of fight. But because he has to surrender, and he refuses to do so, Hanzo is put in a difficult position when Gon decides to be stupidly stubborn. But then again, Gon is not a skilled fighter, he's just really fast and strong. Is there anyone here who he could beat?
You keep ragging on Leorio but his is stronger than both Kurapika and Gon combined at this moment. In the manga they have a running joke about how strong Leorio is supposed to be, but the manga authur keeps making situations where Leorior never gets to fight. The anime didn't want to explain that joke, so they leave most of Leorio's greatest feats out of the show. Leorio is cannocially a beast though.
"He is just punching a kid." You mean the person who has been running hundreds of kilometers and preforming other inhuman physical feats. Stop babying Gon, treat him with the respect his opponent is
As cute as Gon is, Rewatching this again just reminded me how uncomfortable I was watching his stubbornness and impulsiveness. Great character.
I was thinking the same thing last episode

Gon has mad heart. You got to admire his guts. The way his buddies were so pissed about his beating, shows how down for each other they are. Loved it.
Only time kurapika had his eyes turning red when it has nothing to do with the kurota clan.

I like the way u type 😂
24:15 btw Yuu Yuu Hakusho and Hunter x Hunter have the same author: Yoshihiro Togashi
Gon = Yusuke
Leorio = Kuwabara
Kurapika = Kurama
Killua = Hiei

0:17 omg i thought it was funny how she pronounced Leorio and Kurapika but when i saw Parker try not to laugh i died 😂
Yuyu Hakusho has imo the best tournament from any manga 😅. Hopefully we will see one day a remake of the serie
Yuyu Hakusho had two fire tournament arcs. Probably still in my top 3 anime
I agree, HxH may be better overall as an anime, but YYH tournament is bomb.
Absolutely nobody.......
Morgan and Sam: "Cure-a-Pika"🙈🙈😅😅
18:41 yup, that's also how Hisoka is apparently..kindred spirits they are.😂😂
24:15 WHAAAAAT PARKER WATCHED YUYU HAKUSHO?!??! If you guys didn't know, it is by the same creator as Hunter x Hunter!

Funny that Yu Yu Hakusho gets mentioned at the end, it's from the same author as HxH

That would be correct lmao. -Sam

Gon doing talk no jutsu. Honestly guys you should watch the 1999 HxH for this episode, you'll love it more.

Twice 😅
three uploads of HxH, it must be chrismas in halloween
I just realized the HxH poster in the background. Was it always been there?? Anyway, it looks dope!
Great reaction! This beat down always makes me uncomfortable!
Nice Strider Hiryu reference from Parker
Listening to the HXH theme song while ya'll are "cleaning"... okk
"Cleaning"?
They are not ready for chimera arc.
Can't wait for the next arc! 😆
