I would call that night a couple steps in the right direction for Holmes racing. I think that practice that y'all got in at Knoxville did a world of good all that way around for the team. I thought you ran a lot better almost a day and night difference that night than all of the races up to the practice in Knoxville. Way to go y'all. Thank you Tanner for sharing this video with us. aero is important at a track like that where the car is flying... and for the first 15 you were up front with the best. So perspective brother, perspective. You had a top 5-7 car in a High Limit Race! Keep diggin!
I use the crew for a team back in the early 70s. It was a two car father /son team. The fathers brother use to drive too back in the 60s. I ask him why did he quit driving. He said he would hold his breath and was getting dizzy after the race. He just couldn't stop holding his breath.
I always feel like the forward-facing camera never does the speed full justice, especially on my car which doesn't go that fast to begin with. This this one really captured it. Absolutely zippin.
Yeah, my heart sunk a little thinking you had a top ten position locked. But don't forget to look behind you and see 12 other teams that finished behind you...without bent wings. Some pretty big names there. Kepp up the good work. ✌✌
You and the team were awesome. Other than the wing thing (which was just bad luck) you're making progress fer sure. I don't know how it actually work, but I half expected you go down to the inside after the wing damage. I was thinking its a shorter line but slower, so the wing damage might have less effect. But then I thought, if you're up higher you might have a better chance of avoiding any stacks ahead. Not wishing anybody to have a stack, but it is another way to pick up a place or two. How often do the local "shoes" share info about setups and track dynamics? Are the Modified drivers (or other support groups) more likely to share trade secrets?
I get it about setup but there’s the character of the track, how it changes, etc that I expect would be the domain of the locals, no matter the class. With how teams help other drivers in the work area I was wondering if they are that friendly about setups, etc or is it everyone for themselves.
See I said that Salina Highbanks was going to be likely the fast track you have been to yet. Of course, you would have to show up 45 minutes from where I live in the Claremore, Oklahoma area. Now I will say as fast as Salina Highbanks is I know that Belleville Speedway in Kansas is even faster!

Way more short intensive Cardio w short rests. 2-5 minutes of 102% sprinting cardio then a 3-4 minute rest. 5X reps. Think Green/Yellow flags. 1/3, 2/5, 3/2, 5/2, 6 Checker. Match your workout rhythm to the pace of a race, more or less, so your body practices what it needs. Winged 410's like WOO & HL are the premiere Driver Talent arena in the world, beyond F1 or Rally.
