Culinary arts with a chainsaw. Great work! Looking forward to the 18" light bar coming in for my 261. Very impressed with the power to weight the most. I'm use to the old 044 and 460s. Thanks for the clip.
You make us all proud to own a 261 be only you few can run with it like that...Great chainsmanship buddy.. BRUCE LEE WITH A CHAINSAW...you cutting like you stealing the tree..
Holy smoke. You are like John Wick with a chainsaw! I just put on an 18” Light 04 bar on my MS261 it feels very well balanced. I’m looking forward to trying that out. It seems like people prefer the 16” bar in Europe.
Hahha, nice to hear! Cool, sounds nice maybe I should try it out too. I think its more common to use smaller bar at least in northern part of Europe depending of usage of course. I like to use smaller bars for smaller trees because the limbing is easier that way. For a bit bigger trees i use my MS400 with 16" or 18" bar and Im planning to buy 20" cannon bar for that.
@@AH-vw6dm I like running a 25" bar for the most part. #1 because I don't have to reach out with the saw, #2i can cut 90% in one cut,#3 less saw moment but more productive, #4 you don't have to bend over to limb branches, #5 safety
I use stihls or husqvarnas ready mixed fuels because those won't cause headache for me. I found ready mixed fuels best but if you want to mix buy the fuel which contains most octanes and quality 2t oil for example husqvarnas 2t xp oil and mix it up for 2%. Hope this helps!
Hey, nice video and you have some nice skill ! You posted this video a long time ago but if you see this comment, I was curious to know the type of hook you use on your spencer logging tape, is it homemande? Does it work well? I buyed the model from huqsvarna but I find the spike is hard to press in the wood and it often get off... But I'm a beginner.
Thank you for your comment. It's spencers own hook. Works well on frozen tree and gets off easy enough but stays in place while you are limbing the tree. I've had the same husqvarnas loggers tape with that hook too with same issues as you. That's why I prefer this type of hook/spike.
It's called combi can. The nozzle opens when you press it towards the saw and when you lift the fuel can up it closes. Very handy and you don't have to worry about overfilling.
Good fast professional work but are you wearing chaps? Doesn't look like it. Dangerous in close work like that where you could get tangled up in cut or uncut branches. I want to buy the 261 and it looks like it's easy to throw around.
Thanks! Chainsaw pants are in use, they are called husqvarna technical robust. Yes it is powerful and lightweight saw. It is easy to handle as you get used to it definetely recommend buying, especially with light04 bar.
OK, sorry, I am used to orange chaps - Stihl. I think the MS261 is the perfect answer to my light tree harvesting. I don't do big ones, mainly clearing around fields and small forests. Not much above 12-14 inch dia. A 16" bar is adequate. My partner is small but strong. Want a saw that is easy for him to maneuver in close spaces and lightweight. All the tests of the 261 that I've seen are positive. The saw will get daily use so I want reliability. The Husky chaps don't seem to be as bulky as the Stihl. Might look into them. Thanks for your help.
@@jameskeyes1131 I think 261 will suit perfectly for your needs, pleasure to help. Yes these pants are lightweight and best i've used so far, really comfy and stretchy. They fit perfectly for taller person as well without too much loose fabric. Recommend at least trying them out.
Yes very true haha, I added both, but the clip where I add oil was cutted out on editing table. Otherwise the clip would have been bit too long in my opinion.
