I know that you have a memory of freshly grown melon but you can(and should) block the door so VIP stays in elevator room until it's save to go to next elevator (also block the door to the objective after VIP enters so he will not wonder, die and fail the mission) As the remainder about Xiomara quest-line - she talks to you and asks to reach 1000 on q-meter on Venus, then you absorb the pact that she gives you and after that you ask RealWare if you can visit Sinkhole Oasis on Mars(if they tell you to F*** off try improving relations with them)
You always pop those sorbents like candies, haha. I am way too stingy for that and rely on the infection to go away naturally. I am sure that will bite me in the arse one day, but so far so good.
Now, that you have a shuttle, you might consider doing one of those 1-floor Defense missions where you must fend off a wave of enemies. Afterward, loot the corpses, scrap everything (except for the juiciest of jumbos), and put it in the shuttle cargo hold. You won't have to worry about plastic, rags, rubber, wires, and all the essentials for quite some time, and it won't distract you during missions. Just don't take any melee operatives - they'll get shredded :P Always consider taking 10-15 pieces of meat with you (if you have the space). It will spoil in your cargo hold, and you'll be able to produce Antibiotics from rotten meat. Then, combine them with Splints and Bandages to make First Aid Kits. It's an easy way to farm some premium healing.
