Now we just need Notion to be able to simple count words on a page lol

Have you seen the "Word count" line at the bottom of the drop-down menu behind the three dots in the upper right corner of any page?

@@TheOrganizedWriter Yes. Sorry, I meant I want it to be able to count the words on a page and then display it in a column on the main database page for that writing assignment. As of now, I get the word count, then fill in a column, then have a formula next to that to determine if i have reached my word count goal for that piece.
      (if that makes sense)

Ah, I see. Yes, it would be great to have word counts available to database setups. I haven't had the problem yet, because I write the actual texts for my projects in other apps, while using Notion for planning, structuring and persisting deatuls. I guess I should consider writing in Notion too at some point..

@@TheOrganizedWriter I never thought I would be using Notion for my actual text, but I started to a few months ago and found myself loving it. Everything about your stories is all in one place. I have been writing my full first draft in a Notion Page and then moving the text over to a word doc file. Then edit and revise from there.

Nice! Do you use one single Notion page for the whole draft then, or separate into scenes or other parts?
