Dear Slim, I am an Italian who at the moment is working in the middle of the Sahara desert, watching your videos help me overcome my loneliness, thanks for what you do and share.🇮🇹
Artist's paint pots, thanks for showing them.I haven't been to to Yellowstone in 45 years but they still look the same as they did when I saw them as age 12. 😀
My husband and I and our 2 children, have been to Yellowstone way back in 1992. My husband has passed on now, but this video has brought back some special memories for me. Thank you!
This video was the best I have ever seen of Yellowstone. Thank you Slim for putting a tremendous amount of time into showing us hot springs, geysers and the thermal pools close up. I felt like I was standing there in front of them.
I just noticed you wrote something that made me laugh. I had just written a comment and said the same thing to Slim. This was the best video of Yellowstone I've seen from a visitor's perspective. He did an amazing job with it.
I live just down the road from the entrance near Mammoth. There is plenty of boondocking less than a half hour from Gardiner. If you are in the area again get a hold of me. I'd be glad to point you in the right direction. Just around the corner from the Grand Prismatic there is a short trail that goes up the hillside overlooking the Grand. From there you can look down on the spring and really see all the colors.
Hi Slim. I've never subscribed to a TH-cam channel before. Didn't like the feel of submitting to the Google, Facebook, Instagram Overlords. After about a year of vicariously enjoying your trips through my homeland, I can say you've added much value to my life. Subscribing is the least I can do. I'm almost retired and look forward to possibly crossing paths on the road someday. I'm often reminded of a quote from Rudyard Kipling when I see your creations: "Something hidden. Go and find it. Go and look behind the Ranges -- "Something lost behind the Ranges. Lost and waiting for you. Go!" Best regards.
WOW what a beautiful place. Thanks as always for taking us on your travels. I'm fortunate to work in a provincial park and the main benefit is that after 26 years I'm still taken by the scenery! If you ever come to the east coast of Canada I can arrange a free night or 2 at our campground. A perk of being famous Slim !
Your photography put me in mind of National Geographic! The awesome beauty was breathtaking. It's such a pleasure to follow you on your travels. Your videos are such a nice respit from stressful times.
This is why I watch your channel. I can make a cup of coffee and I go to wonderful places with the best videography... it’s like I’m there with you. I can even smell the coffee. I look forward to every video Best camping videos on youtube
Absolutely outstanding video. You are a poet both with your words and with your cinematography. You have a new fan and subscriber. Thank you for sharing this with all of us :-)
Thank you again for sharing your travels, Mr. Slim👍 Your video far exceeds all others of Yellowstone National Park! Amazingly "Gorgeous" ... I'm sure I will watching this again and again💕
My wife and I did our new trailer shakedown cruise in Yellowstone last October. Snow on the ground, no issues parking in the geyser basins and trailheads. Below freezing at night. Perfect! If you haven't seen Yellowstone in the fall or winter, you're missing out. Wife made a calendar from her awesome wildlife photos including a grizzly bear, a wolf, numerous elk and coyotes.
The incredible visuals and sound (minus the trucks) put this video in my all time favourites. Thank you Slim! It was a series of beautiful landscape paintings come to life. Absolute perfection!
What I like about you, more than the other outdoor you tubers, is the time in effort you put in to showcase your beautiful country. Always looking forward to the next one.
I very much enjoyed this video, it brings back so many great memories I have as a child when my dad took us camping out West. The geysers were so captivating and I remember frolicking in them...at least the ones that maintained a temperature to do so!
One place i've not visited....can i also say thanks for showing us around, i really appreciate the edit, i know how long these things take....and i'm a fairly new sub !
Nice job Slim....what a beautiful place. I used to live in Idaho Falls when I was stationed there for training at the reactor site at Arco, Idaho ( US Navy) That was way back in 1965 when my son Ernie was born. Would love to go see Yellowstone once again while I'm still active Your videos are TOPS !!
Slim, thanks for the awesome scenery in all of your videos. I appreciate the fact you visit places off the beaten path, places most tourists skip over, and in all sorts of weather. Your videography is simple but tremendously effective. I appreciate how you make your videos about the places you visit and not about you. It makes me want to visit every place you capture.
Slim, your nature videography is the best. I never tire of watching them. Your voice is soothing also. I’d love to see you put your nature videos together and make it 45 minutes to an hour long. Thank you for all the effort you put into them. Safe travels 😊
Been watching your videos for a while now and really enjoyed this one and has even inspired the wife and I to look at aliners and ditching the tent. I have been making a yearly trip to Yellowstone for 8 years now and by far my favorite trip was a camping trip in January, the piece and solitude of the park that time a year is simply amazing. Being able to watch a wolf pack and a cougar with no one or any cars driving by for 2 hours was worth braving the cold alone.
U are an artist through your camera - and the music you choose articulates the sounds of nature as you visualize it. Thank you for all the hard work you do to put forth these vids. Even tho I have been to the same parks, you have captured scenes I never saw. Can’t wait for the next vid.
Long time viewer and have always been a fan, but this...this has got to be one of your best vids ever. You really took some amazing shots in this one, the composition for portraying Yellowstone is amazing! Keep up the good work!!!
We enjoy all your videos Slim. So beautiful and the colours were amazing. Thanks for taking us along on your travels. Stay safe out there man. Cheers!!!
I have only watched a few of your videos but this one was stunning and the music, your voice and story was pure poetry. You are such a talented videographer. It was as good as National Geographics could produce. I plan to go back and watch more of your videos. Thank you Slim.
I absolutely love your work. You are by far the best that is out there in TH-cam land. I watch a lot of destination DVDs and this one on Yellowstone National Park you have created, is by far better than the ones I've seen before.
“...so they should be…”. Agreed! I first started watching your videos for the camping info. Silly me, whenever I click play, that’s what I’m expecting and next thing I know I am in the middle of a gorgeous nature travelogue, and happily so! I don’t know how you do it, it’s artistry!
Slim, as a fellow photographer, what I value even more than your stellar storytelling and video skills is something tiny yet praiseworthy that might easily be missed, just because your work is so outstanding, it can sometimes become the focus, obscurring the tiny details of your craft. Speaking as a person who is most comfortable behind a lens rather than in front, the fact that you chose to blur the face of the Park Ranger at the beginning of this video was touching. I don't know the ranger, nor do I know if she asked you to keep her anonymous, nor if she even cared. Regardless, to me, it was a courteous action and worthy of praise. (And yes, I understand it's perfectly "legal" to photograph others as long as they are in public spaces. But the reality is, many photographers and youtubers too often prioritize their own likes, page views or income over anyone else's right to NOT be photographed, while all the while justifying their selfishness in the name of "art." It's truly refreshing to see someone not just preach a walk of respect and kindness, but actually walk that path. Thank you.
Great video!! I’ve been watching your videos now non-stop and I love the way you show and explain what’s going on around you. Thanks for sharing with us the beauty of the open land.
I stayed at Baker's Hole campground in early September. It was ok and cheap but a lot of highway noise. I found some nice campgrounds in Paradise Valley off the main road rt 89 that were primitive with vault toilets. They were right on the Yellowstone River and were very quiet and quit beautiful. Seniors paid $18.00 per night on the honor system first come first serve. Just posted my own yellowstone video, but it's not nearly as good as yours...
A few years ago my wife and I took a commercial coach trip to Yellowstone in February. We were met at the southern entrance by a fleet of snow-cats which provided our transportation. It was one remarkable trip. As always, I loved your photography and commentary - kudos to you.
Yellowstone in October. Absolutely gorgeous! I’ve lived in Laramie (southeast Wyoming) for 8 years and still haven’t been to Yellowstone. Your photography is outstanding! This episode’s going in my Favorites file!!
B Higley A TV show I saw featured a professor who took sound-measuring instruments to many locations, and he claimed the quietest spot in the U.S. is in the Hoh rainforest in northwest Washington. Might want to put it on your itinerary.
@@Just_A_Glo I saw that. Was very interesting. Sadly, the professor is losing his hearing. Part of my future objective in travels is to go to places where I can't hear human made noises. Nature is fine but no humans, no cars, no electrical wires, etc. Just the sounds of nature.
SP, this video was gorgeous! Colors were so clear. The animals were beautiful. Your narrative is such a compliment to whatever you are sharing (and the time you take to select music is also appreciated). Wow. Thank you yet again. I’ve been through Yellowstone a few times, but I doubly appreciate it through your eyes.
thank you so much -- the colors, the music you have chosen & the animals. I have only been once and then back in 1976 -- would love to take my husband soon. thanks again.
