I'll try the alt + arrow tip. I like zooming in by typing "z" then holding ctrl + spacebar and drawing a box around what I want to zoom in to. I used to toggle preview mode with "w" until a few times I realized later that I'd had a text box selected and my layouts were sprinkled with random w's! Got a trick for this?
Thanks for the feedback! You can change the preview keyboard shortcut (Choose Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts) to something else. Perhaps a command that isn't a letter or number that would appear in a text box you are working in.
Great tips, especially the alt arrow for the kerning.... have absolute no idea why they can't make it like in AI, changle the value by scrolling on the setup, ot soo precise and fast, use shift or ctrl to 10 or 0.1 steps. Do you have any video about using the colors in indesign? For me that is the biggest handicap, it's soo hard to understand why there is no eyedropper when you want to change the color of an existing swatch.
Thank you! Wonderful video 🎉
Hi, thank you so much for the tips. I was wondering if InDesign has the repeat last action (s) feature like in MS Word (F4)?
I'm looking for a shortcut where I can invert text from black to white, and the other way around. Do you know one?
I'm new to this industry. I really appreciate this tutorial. it was extremely helpful.
Great tips. I need all of them in my work.
This is Awesome!
Thank you very much

Try slash. She said backslash but typed slash. Try that.

Awesome!
To resize an object from the center, you don't need Ctrl+Alt+Shift. Alt+Shift will be enough to do the job. ))) Thanks for the rest of it, though.
i was thinking the same...
please get to the point soon. Most of us are never patient.
very old keyboard shortcuts not new techniques
