The Šakotis you buy in shops, and you buy handmade one so different man because usually in shop it's dry, and crunchy and handmade is very sweet, soft-light hard, and u taste like butter-sweet-honey in same time, whats why this is soamazing :D
RAP ISLAND oh man! I’ll definitely consider that next time! 😍 I can’t wait!
You can buy them in states ;) some lithuanians are making them ;)
@@BrianVelez never buy one from the store, they usually have less flavor and are dry. Try fresh ones there they are made in some places in Lithuania, its like whole another experiance.

@@stressedminecrafthoe139 😊👌hi
The šakotis should be soft, hard = stale.
You would saw a circle approx 1-2 inch thick and then cut individual portions.
I got to explore Lithuania with Kintija! Check it out! 😍🙌🏼🇱🇹

The Baltic countries are more or less ignored..
_most people don't even know what a Latvia is.._
Estonia and Lithuania are actually more known about atleast, mostly through the fact that "oh, that's the country that's next to Poland" or "oh, that's the (no offense Estonians) scandinavian wannabe"
And this is from a latvian, who had moved to England at the age of 3, and didn't realize I was from Latvia until I was 5, when my mom told me, where I eventually moved, when I was 6 to my grandmother's..
*and not even the teachers knew about Latvia, when I asked them about it*
I know right like nobody knows it im like what??
Im born in Norway I’m half Lithuanian and me and my parents often travel there to meet my dads family,
Molly Gacha that’s amazing! It’s funny because 4 days after filming this I was stuck on Lofthaven airport for 16 hours 😂
😂
I was born in norway too! But i live in Lithuania beacause my mother is Lithuanian and my dad is korean

P.S small lithuanian youtuber 💛❤️🦋
Thank you very much! I loved trying them! Heck yes! Putting in them TH-cam hours 😆
I've cooked sakotis multiple times in cooking school and you have to have a special baking machine to make it. It can be made with either butter or margarine which gives it a different taste and texture sometimes. If you want to taste a real delicious one, I would suggest buying one from bakeries.
Šakotis is a variation of german baumkuchen (log cake) and is made pretty similarly- by rolling a "log" by the fire. Main ingredient is eggs (yellow colour) and either butter or margarine. Butter ones are more soft and margarine ones are more crunchy.

Koldūnai soooo good

Ziren YT ouuuu! That’s awesome! Which is your favorite?
I think PERGALE chocolate or šakotis :)
14:18 watch how its made in youtube "Lithuanian spit cake (šakotis)"
Hi, just watched your video, really awesome to see not Lithuanians try and explore Lithunia, i wanted to tell you what šakotis is, i didn't see if anyone told you so🙂šakotis is made like from batter, and you need a special like oven, stove to make it, cause you get like a poll and you drip the batter onto it why it's spinning and the oven bakes it while it's dripping that's why it's in that form, and as you said it's popular in Lithuanian weddings, so Americans have huge wedding cakes and we kinda have šakotis, well atleast we used to have, like a tradition, i don't really know now, but yeah so here it is, hope I helped🙂
I am from Lithuania and i love these snacs
I’m lithuanian and I’ve tried all them foods
rimi is from a Svedish company actualy
and its only in baltic countrys i think🤔
Raivis Koļcovs what? That’s odd?
That's true about rimi
Rimi was first a joint subsidiary of the Swedish ICA and Finnish Kesko supermarket groups. Later Kesko sold it shares to ICA and now Rimi is owned solely by Swedish ICA Gruppen. The labels, packaging and a lot of brand products are the same in the Baltics, Sweden and Norway.
Finally a youtuber cares about us 👊
I am from Lithuania and I love you a Lithuania snack it's very good
Oh yeah I'm there's also small packets of oho and the look like those honey flavoured cereals that instead their flavour like normal chip flavours like bacon
