Super high quality, easily understandable. Earlier in the video I thought "A tier list would be nice, it's hard to keep track of all this" >>You made a tier list >>Joy
Nice to see that DR is getting more popular by the day. I have fond memories of playing Hamlet during the Beta while he was, and discussing all of our fun findings together.
Plus you can craft 3 dubloons into a nugget, sell it for 5 oincs and get 2 free extra pulls (close to double). Very convenient as all the steps can be done en masse, especially with that sweet mod Jazzy loves.
So I did some poking around on the wiki, and I noticed that a vast majority of the results actually profit the character at least on oinc, and in many cases at least 29. Even the worst monster result is an even trade statistically if you don't count the chance for a snakeskin, and the rest are at least a multiple profit, and a half offer a guaranteed profit. So I'm thinking. I wonder how worthwhile it would be to set up an oddities shop, a grocers, and a battery of elephant cactus, maybe a birdcage and a single townhouse for manure (oinc) production, (town hall wouldn't hurt either), and just come over now and then with a Krampus sack, cargo boat and an inventory stuffed with hundred oinc pieces, with a bundle of stew, fired green mushrooms and a live bird, and just go bonkers, making eggs and manure as needed and using the grocer to break your benjis down to single oincs. Then go to the Pig King, convert your eggs, and then off to the Mayor to convert gold. Apart from other goodies you got from the casino, you're likely to have tons more cash than you started with. But is it worth the trouble?
Well done. One exploit that you didn't mention in the video is that after picking up poop, the pig that saw you will follow you wherever you go, even out of town. That means you can easily move the pigs you want by picking up manure near them. Or you can kill them, because for some reason after paying you for plop picking, they stand still for four to five seconds and even hitting them won't make them move.
Seems like they removed the trade limit on the builder, which IMO makes it now one of the best methods that doesn't involve exploiting one of the royal gallery items. 40 oincs per set of shears, equal to hedges in money, but hanging vines definitely respawn much faster than a hedge will regrow. Plus you get extra ropes and food from fighting the aggressive ones.
Well done jazzy. You can also get gold and idols from under rocks on occasions. Also there are rare times that the queen’s town spawns with only shops and no roaming merchants/residents. It is also worth mentioning the maze you can find at times in the queen’s town. If you have one of these, the razor becomes more useful. All the best.
14:18 this is a bit of a late comment, but the pig you get paid from will stay completely still without any idle animation for about 5 seconds as you said, as soon as you see any movement in that pig that paid you it means that the cooldown is over and they're ready to give out money again
for poop picking, they do have a cooldown between paying you. notice how they stand still, damn near not breathing after they pay you. that's the cooldown, and once they move or act you can pick up another poop for another pound in cash and a pound in poop
But why not just get free rope from the deep woods? I always seem to find them, since rope is dropped by those snatching vine things and during humid season those pesky glowbugs seem to destroy them and leave behind free rope. So the trade with builders is a bit less expensive than first thought
12:23 im doing a wealth run and these dudes are my main source of money for now since the swashy hats are annoying to get and i cant steal berries without it
I vary between the most rewarding ones for early, mid and late game, i start mapping various zones while grabbing flowers and lost relics if i found some, when i gather quite some materials i head to pig city and start exchanging them for poop and oincs, mid game i trim hedges and exchange for poop and oincs, and if im in a hurry i just exchange them with shopkeep, also exchaging stuff with the collector .In late game i keep using the collector and triming hedges and if i want to get oincs as fast as i can i grab a ton of exchangeable stuff and go all around the city and exchange them.Forgot about the other best one i use, the berrie bro, i use him on early, mid and late game. This is the case for hamlet only playtroughs, also, i just recently went past the level where i can survive trough the aporkalypse and activate the clock with no problem. Never tried robbing,i dont thing ill try it(yeah i will).
I love the berry bros; just wish they had their own shop so I could spawn them more reliably. Honestly, if I were to start a Hamlet series again I might consider rushing the demolition of both towns and get my own town houses up as fast as possible. Then perhaps going to RoG and worldhopping a few times to get even more pig skin. The passive income from those houses is the only source I've needed in late- late game.
Jazzy,If you see this,How did you make that nice trading hall with fences and Thulecites walls,or at least how did you bring the shopkeepers outside together with the desk? Anyone who knows pls answer
I like taking from the banks in swinesbury and the palace island when I raid the city for my own city, but I dont do the strat of rebuilding and stealing
I do like the Heist Method however in my head I could never figure out if it was worth getting extra resources to to do it. Panflutes and pig hide aren't that hard to come by just annoying to get mainly the hide. I'm sure fire Farms could fix the hide problem just a matter of playing the waiting game. Collector is by far the best method to get oincs, I brought with me a bunch of honeycomb from a Linked ROG world with a killer bee fortress and Nabbed as many bees and combs as I could carry. Murdering the bees for profit is well worth the trouble seeing as the stingers, Honey, and Blueprints all have great uses. PS: Great Video Man, Love your work.
Just a clarification, seeds are food, and so is rot, technically, but neither is considered meat. Last I checked they don't leave dung. I think the comprehensive rule is fruits, vegetables and butterfly wings leave manure.
I use elephant cacti and spider dens to farm silk, guts, and monstermeat. I also don the cactus armor and hide in the cacti during bat waves. It's nice if you can get it :)
In DST MacTusk must spawn on The Moon Stone biom. And in Both games There is a Chance for biom called "Triple MacTusk". It is mix of savanah and rocky biom with 3 MacTusk camps. Gl! Sorry for any mistakes I made.
5:11 Actually you could build 4 or less flower house give them the petals, go to natural spawned town sell petals to them and drop the remaining petals separate and the pigs would eat it and 1 poop= 1 oink
Lotus flower is awsome to me u can regain sanity well as wicker bottomand also gain reed to get more books it cycle you get flower u eat it you get sanity you use the book of course cooking it too
My favorite must be the passive income from taxes. I don't like to work in the game constantly, I like to work if it rewards you in the end, like having farms that require no maintenance and work for themselves. I hate exploits in the game, and I think the panflute thing should be patched.

Your prof pic is lovely, can you link to it?
Nice to see that DR is getting more popular by the day. I have fond memories of playing Hamlet during the Beta while he was, and discussing all of our fun findings together.
Unrelated/related, you can use oincs to spin the slot machine, which are much easier to amass than dubloons.
Whaaaaaat? That's a totally related thing that I never knew!
Plus you can craft 3 dubloons into a nugget, sell it for 5 oincs and get 2 free extra pulls (close to double). Very convenient as all the steps can be done en masse, especially with that sweet mod Jazzy loves.

that's really useful
Hey jazzy, you can actually shear down normal hanging vines for a rope, leaving it on par to shearing clippings(besides the trading limit per day).
That would actually be a better return than clippings since you'd get 20 rope for a set of shears. That's 60 oincs versus 40.
@@JazzysGames The guide and the wiki says its 2 oink per rope(altho I remember it being 3 while I was playing,I would love some confirmation on this).
Wow how this information just sifts through my mind. You're correct: 2 oincs per rope. So it's actually on par with hedges.
I do that all the time. I think it's because rope costs 3 grass to make so I know the ratio is 2 to 3 but the direction gets jumbled in my brain.
Seems like they removed the trade limit on the builder, which IMO makes it now one of the best methods that doesn't involve exploiting one of the royal gallery items. 40 oincs per set of shears, equal to hedges in money, but hanging vines definitely respawn much faster than a hedge will regrow. Hamlet is just a violent version of Animal Crossing
Amazing video, thank you for such comprehensive yet still fun guide!!!!
It's a shame we can't sell Platapine Quills to the Collector pig. I wish there were more uses for this other than the bird whistle.
Thanks for the Video Jazzy!

10:16 if you hammer the crashed hot air balloon pieces you get a drain plug a razor cloth and boards
i never trade petals for oincs, just drop them on the ground for the village to eat. then you get poop and an oinc!
Two-years-ago Jazzy was a surprisingly Willow player.

You can use the shears on lianas to get even better rate than cutting grass.

How many cactus you use for one den?
I usually do 9 in a 3x3 and plant the den one screen away. The spiders wander up and when one dies they swarm. If there's meat it draws them too.

I just want to point out that you can use the shears on vines in the jungle to get rope for craft pig
