To think the Art of Noise did play the tube (sans Trevor), they did need a big mixing console, multiple effect generators, a Linn drum machine, PPG Wave 2.x, Memorymoog, Friendchip SRC and 3 Fairlight's!
I saw the AON live in San Francisco about a million years ago at a club that no longer exists. JJ Jeczalik set up a live loop on one of the Fairlights and then juggled while it played.
