The Baumann Actuator use a maximum supply pressure of 20 psi for operation and account for fluid forces from the process. If everything is working properly you should see full travel over the indicated bench set span indicated by the name plate of the assembly, in this case at 13 psi you should see the valve plug contact the valve seat with no process forces present. At the end of the video we are confirming that full travel occurs as pressure is increased to the assembly, if everything is correct the valve plug would contact the seat close to the upper bench range value but we continue to increase the pressure to the full supply of 20 to verify if any excessive travel is detected that could be an indication of an issue with the installed springs or other issues within the assembly.
My control valve is leaking from value body and when I disassembled it and inspect it no visible cut or rupture and damage is seen on the valve plug or the seat gate, what could actually be the cause of the internal leakage?
