Instead of being optimistic, the moderator is already thinking on pessimistic lines.
The biggest issue with our so called intellectuals is their inability to bring out of the box solutions for problems facing the country. Instead, they tend to point out potentials of failure and draw comparisons with failed projects. Which is discouraging.
He said that the biggest problem or barrier in success of these projects is military ( I can’t fathom the fact that he being a government official said this. He is actually pitting against another institution of government) for his kind information it is the military in Pakistan that can give a stern hand to policies and ensure their compliance. If there were no military supervision in such initiatives, the credibility of public projects initiated by political leaders would become negligible because of reversal of policies after every transition of government in Pakistan.
Secondly, he said that the CPEC isn’t performing well. The reason he gave was military leadership involved in it. I would strongly disagree with this too because the success and failure of CPEC is not dependent on the inclusion or exclusion of military, it depends upon strong economic footing, lack of political interference and resilient working model. In case of CPEC, the Covid Pandemic and government’s rescheduling & renegotiation of CPEC projects payment terms with China have been paramount reasons of its slow pace. But it should never be implied that CPEC has become a failure.
I believe SIFC is the biggest milestone our country has achieved in the current state of tumultuous economic and politically uncertain situation. It not only gives sustenance to our policy frameworks but also provides reliability to investors. SIFC is a sort charter of economy between the state and government by thwarting sense of disillusionment due to poor economic outlook of country. SIFC has also proposed the creation of sovereign fund in Pakistan similar to Singapore, Japan, India and Norway that will accumulate surplus reserves from SOEs privatisation and other public initiatives to fund Special projects, pensions and in long run payoff the debt liabilities haunting our country.
I urge our learned people to do research on their own so that they don’t get carried away by such superficial arguments.
Nevertheless, the moderator must be appreciated for the hard work put in to compiling data and presenting it in a compelling manner.

Its better to economically partner with gulf states.
True that china is a rising economy, but it's also true that china has risen its economy by such shady tactics, like setting all the coal based operations in Pakistan etc. Dealing with China could never render any fruit. As seen in past.

Why are u showing kashmir as part of india. Being a css officer i think u should be carefull. Use maps that show kashmir as part of pakistan.

Over seven decades our state showing Kashmir as part of Pakistan. Instead, 370 and 35 a article has been revoked. Now , in the eye of supranational international institute, Pakistan has been lost its right to claim Kashmir as its part. Our enforcement and law agencies are not able to give worth their possession and territory. They just make effort to suppress and undermine public. So under indian government Kashmir is better then that of ours. Don't mind , can you explain, despite being a part of Pakistan, how much Human development has had given to inhabitants of azad Kashmir's localities. While the inhabitants of IOK are holding well skilled professional degree. They along with our Kashmir don't want to attain sovereign state instead of being Access with any country. We have glitch army , fergile economy, corrupt judicial and police system.
