Khun Yai is such a pure and gentle soul. Him reciting the poem to Jom and showing he's already so in love, I can't they're so precious :(((

Apart from the main lead's chemistry I really loved Ming and Jom's friendship ❤
I'm in love with how soft-spoken Jom is. In the scene where Khun Yai recited the poem, my heart just melted, can he be any more head over hills for Jom ☺
well, imagine being in his shoes. he is out there in the countryside with only a very few people his age around - and the girls are not really his cup of tea. most of the boys are either peasants or servants and not really company fit for him. the foreigners are a closed circle. so the only people left are other upper class boys his age and they seem very far and few between. plus any attempt to get closer than being friends is bound to ruin his social standing, effectively branding him a pariah. he is lonely and both his mother and 'aunt' prik seem to know this.
no wonder he immediately took to Jom. someone like Jom doesn't exist back then as a servant in Thailand. he can read, write and even knows English. apparently, he can draw as well (duh, he is a trained architect but Yai doesn't know that). Jom is a godsend and Yai seizes the opportunity and it doesn't hurt that this peculiar boy is very handsome too.

Running into his arms, being so happy saying "Here's my Jom!", moving his head onto Jom's lap and reciting a very famous Thai love poem to him before falling asleep right there, holding his hand... Undoubtedly, a series that captivates the audience. Incredible performance from the actors and an affinity between Nonkul and Bright. Once a week we have this gem of dramaturgy, a delicacy, a love being born, unforgettable characters. I get very emotional.

The way I’m obsessed w this show omg. These episodes could be four hours long and I’d be sure to make time to watch every single one. I love it so much 😭💞 every cast member and all the ppl working on this show has so far delivered a masterpiece. I love it 😭💞💞💞

There’s more to the book scene in the novel. The reason Jom reacted that way was because he read that book for school. But it was censored or cleaned up for it to be more appropriate for students. So when he got to the “uncut” version he was freaking out.

@@willowsprite ah, that explains it. 17:43 he almost got himself in new trouble by casually making up the story of a missionay teaching him an unknown figure of speech at his house. no wonder Yai is fascinated by Jom. it felt like Yai was testing him yet expecting Jom to be able to read despite this being highly unusual for normal servants back then in rural Thailand

This is Northern Thai dialect, even I'm Thai, I still didn't understand some words. Except Jom, Khunyai and Khunyai 's family are speak cantral Thai dialect.

It's really sad how Robert is treating his new wife. He knows that Peung don't let him have the ascendant on him, so he goes to the other wife to have what he wants.
I'm sad for Ming because he seems to have a crush on Maey since a while, and it seems that Maey has a crush on Peung.
I want to know more about Yai background. Like, why did he said he never truly had the chance to choose things for himself, that his brother in law is his father favorite, from previous episodes, he stays at home and do his business in peace, without much noise, doesn't step on other business, etc. He seems to put everyone before himself.
Yai is a sweet talker while drunk.
The whole scene with him laying on Jom leg and caressing his hand, and saying these words to him, that there is only one person, that was a good scene.
Ohhhh, I just thought that maybe the time where he dissociated from himself, it was because he drew the piglet, the drawing he already drew in his previous life or idk what it's called. So that must have like connected the storyline of the two lives or universe, idk.
It's the hairstyle and clothing of that era. Our ancestors looked way older than their real age compared to us now, where people start looking younger than they are.
So it's believable.
Fun fact : he's only 18 in the novel and Jom is 24 😂

Not being able to choose stuff for himself is due to his father. In that kind of culture, even the privileged "young master" can't really be himself (not only because of the whole gay thing), he has to conform to whatis expected of him and do as he is told. His father literally controlled everything up to that point. This may feel like not only his first love, but also his first taste of freedom

I got so sad for Khun Yai when he told Prik that up til now he's never really been able to choose anything for himself. He is in such a privileged position, but still, in that kind of patriarchal and authoritarian society, 99% people are trapped, one way or another - if not by poverty and other circumstances (like the servants and other ordinary people shown in the drama), then by their fathers or society's expectations (like the "young masters"). Women, of course, suffer doubly, because - lady or servant - they can't do much for themselves. Yai's sister can't even get education, because her father and husband won't let her, so she has to read books in secret.
I am so excited I can really tell how much Khun Yai cares and takes care of Jom ✨✨😍😍

Wow in the novel Jom didn't mention about his love life but in the series it seems that jom has told Yai about that. Its nice to know, cause in a relationship trust is very important one.
I think he does though, i remember reading that Khun Yai asks him to forget his ex soon and start loving him.

Just my thought, Jom made Ohm and his gf suffer this period, so it was him who had to suffer due to Ohm in modern time.
Also, maybe the drawing would be his portkey to travel back to his time.
Khun Yai and Jom are already this sweet, hope they stay together in whichever era they would be~

This is kinda lot of different from the novel but in a good way though.
I legit got scared when Jom got stuck between 2 timelines getting called by Uncle Tan as well as Khun Lek.. I like the horror aspect 😅
GL storyline wasn't there and Jom didn't face this much trouble and prejudice after moving into the small house. They had a nice time and a lot of lovey dovey moments until Jom started to disappear and his shadow started fading.
I am glad i got to see Khun Yai 's POV , i just wanted to hug him when he was asking aunt Prik to let him have one thing by his own will, not decided by others.
I hope they don't make Jom suffer a lot and have lots of sweet moments 💝

At present this series is the best..best of all the series on air..Acting , actors,location everything is Bang onnnn .The story even though it a time lap but it too good.I love jom alot poorthing my piglet has no idea how much his new owner is loving him ..He is really craving for him too but it not soo easy to open up..may b in mean time his actions will make jom understand and respect his feelings...I just hope he meets him in future too.

The chemistry between these two leads is palpable and the storyline has me in its grips. I'm absolutely loving this series, I'm so impressed. I also want to give Yai one great big hug. The way he loves Jom so much already, like he has both missed and yearned Jom for his entire life, it just moves me, and I wish I could wrap him up in one great big hug. I was in tears as he recited his love poem to Jom, the scene was beautifully crafted. ❤
