    This is my first year flying a drone. I've put 724kms on my Mini2 and am so glad every day that I made the purchase. This is so rare with any "toy". I wish I knew if I'd be as happy months after purchasing one of these as well. It's tough finding toys that are as fun six months after buying them (maybe even more fun than day 1) compared to the initial excitement.

    So when used as a cinewoop it performs quite well, no signal loss inside the steel cone.
    There have been several reports of banking/ turning left in manual then the avata loses control and plummets.

      It is user error, any ducted quad will do the same, if you induce maximum prop wash. It would be like buying a gimbal for your camera, whipping it around violently, and being upset that the footage isnt smooth. It is not operating within its normal parameters. Check out original dobos video on it. He shows that an experienced pilot, can easily fly around and and wont crash. If you are worried about it? Just fly normally, as its not a freestyle quad.

    On my crashes the bumpers do a fine job. The real problem I have with crashes is the landing gear. When you hit the ground moving forward the front and side bottoms of the frame (landing gear) is what really takes the damage and spreads through out different connections to the drone itself. I hope there is something coming out soon to help round off the bottom of the landing gear so it gives it something smoother and helps reduce the damage the Avata takes on a crash. Now I am up for more props and prop guards for my Avata.
    Thanks to my high quality in Noob skill Manual Mode abilities when I crash I didn't short cut motor off feature and have ruined 2 of my props both with the orange dot in the middle.

  • @KOrnhOliO1
    @KOrnhOliO1 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    OK, even though I've been in the FPV hobby for 7 years now, this surprised me... The purpose of this comment is to show some FPV'ers that there is another way to get this Avata type of performance, with even more maneuverability, and I'd guess, more speed too! And, for one hella lot less ca$h! 😜
    I was wondering which DJI digital Cinewhoop was both reasonable enough in price with really stable flying. I researched the heck out of everything, and was ready to buy the GepRC Cinelog25, except for it's price of around $350! Then, I stumbled onto a deal on my second choice the BetaFPV 95x V3...actually it's the V4 if BetaFPV got their head outta their AS$ and called the 1404 motors version a different model than the same exact quad with the 1106 motors that heated up so hot you could fry an egg on them! lol Does BetaFPV Fuc% up more products than any other quad manufacturer in the FPV hobby? I think so. 😳🤷‍♂
    So, I found the 95x "V3" with the 1404 motors on clearance for a mere $175 shipped! And that's for the DJI version with the Caddx Vista! That deal is long gone, but I wouldn't have bought it if it wasn't for good ole' Chris Rosser! Right while I was trying to decide, he came out with a complete video on how to tune that 95x V3 with 1404's! GREAT! And, the video showed him flying it very stable and smooth. I don't give a damn about HD footage, because it just sits on my hard drive and collects virtual dust! I never watch it, and don't care of it's posted on TH-cam. I don't want to edit things, that's another waste of time for me! lol I just wanted something to fly up in the canopy of trees! ...Going in one tiny little gap, weaving through all of the scraggle and ghost branches and out through another tiny gap on the other side. Then back into the next tree to do it all over again! We can see all of those tiny branches with the crystal clear image quality of DJI digital. It's just like what Ken did in this video, but in nature with trees with leaves and grass on the ground, instead of welded steel. Fun as hell cuz it's like flying through a near endless labyrinth to a tiny little 8" x 8" hole to escape. you can go a different way every time through. Something we could never do with analog or HDZero.
    I am a firm believer in maximum power to weight ratio. Some like these 800+g 5" quads that weight so damn much - I'm just the opposite! I like things light and powerful to give me the most power to weight ratio. Something I learned from KababFPV (Bob).
    I think some don't even get that concept one bit! I took off the HD camera mount and kept the Vista with heat sinks because the 95X V3 has it mounted right by the back props and it gets tons of grass sprayed on it. Even then, it weighs a mere 122 grams! I use a tiny 450mah 4S lipo that weighs in at 62 grams or a 450mah 3S, that seems to work just as well, that weighs only 49g. Often I am flying it at a total of only 171g - far below the 250g limit. If I want long flight times I use an 850mah 4s, but I also have 1100, 1500, and 2200mah 4S lipos, if I want to fly a long damn time. Honestly, those would just ruin the power to weight ratio!
    It's fast as can be with those kinda big 1404 motors and the 450mah 4s, for a 2.5" pusher quad, but also light and nimble, unlike the DJI Avata with it's massive 410g take off weight. I wish a person could buy a small lightweight battery for the Avata to get that power to weight ratio up. It's not even in the ballpark of my 95x V3, as it is way, Way less than HALF it's weight.
    Lots of people make a big huge deal about flight time. That's not what THEY SHOULD be making a big deal about - it should be power to weight ratio! With ultra lightweight quads and lipos, the quad flies nimble, corners on a dime, has tons of power, and is soooo hella fun to fly. I suggest others try this super light concept. 🤔👍 I've got a total of $180 into my 95x V3 with lipo, vs. $629 for the DJI Avata. My extra lipos cost me a mere FIVE DOLLARS, on sale. Aren't Avata batteries over $100?
    Mine flies just as good, if not BETTER than the Avata. Seriously, it's smooth as hell flying through those tiny gaps, just like Ken showed us. Could have something to do with it weighing way less than HALF the Avata! Haahaa! I get great flight times on my tiny lipos too, and I have over 10 to fly! Another huge benefit of small and light - CHEAP!

      Maybe you give the motion controller a go, you only need one hand to controll the drone and it's working surprisingly well. For flying you don't need to access the menus in the drone I think, starting motors, lift off, start-/stoping the video (you have an automatic option as well, as soon as the motors turn the video is recorded), gimbal controll and landing can all be done with one hand, at least with the motion controller (I don't have a "normal" one yet).

    Entry level drone?! At €1189?! Are you guys nuts?! It almost cost as much as my car when i bought it. No joke. Then people need to get everything els into a locked ecosystem?! And people still don't get why some of us hates DJI.
    Sorry. Im not sold. No hate on you guys. But keep it a bit realistic. Plz.

      Um DJI sells drones for $100 as well. A really decent drone for $300... regardless, even if all their drones were over $10,000, that's no reason to "hate" them... weird. Oh and they release SDKs for all their drones so you can download 3rd party programs... As far as the Avata goes, to buy a decent pre built cinewhoop, controller, digital goggles and GoPro is gonna cost as much or more.
