- Teguise has is one of the top Costa Teguise day trips - not just for the Sunday Teguise market, but for the charm of the Teguise bars and restaurants to be found on almost every street.
Teguise is the former capital of Lanzarote, during the week it's a very peaceful town. But on Sunday it bustles as all the streets are filled with market stalls. Teguise Market is on every Sunday, 9.00-14.00.
Our winter walking tour of Teguise, Lanzarote (at Christmas) begins and ends in Plaza San Francisco by the 'Elegua' sculpture.

It's a real gem on the Island. I'd say unless you love markets, go on a non Market day for an atmospheric experience and a wonderfully peaceful day.
