Very good review. It encapsulates most of my thoughts almost perfectly. This is the game where I had most hours (160) in the franchise and did Platinum it w/o even going for it, but I agree that the weaker story compared to the other games makes me wonder a little for the future. And yeah, party members added so close to the end of the game is kinda criminal ( even if it's joked about in the Drink Link ). To me it's closer to Yakuza 5, which was a huge game but with a very unfocused story. Some fans love it but I'd rather have another Gaiden. Very good game, just not great for me.
I just beat it at 93 hours last night and I will agree with a lot of what you said, the Side Content was great, the story itself I think really peaked around the 8th to 13th chapters with the 14th being very inconsistent, but that's also because I was wrapping up the Bucketlist and Drink Links. I think the 14th chapter was good but it was spread out too much and should have had more to bring some things together or just put closure on some minor details that kind of end on a cliffhanger, it feels almost like there's another 5-10 minutes of ending that was cut or missing honestly? Also missed opportunity for a Scooter/Segway Racing Minigame.
This was a great review, I'm definitely subscribing to see your channel grow. I enjoyed playing through Infinite Wealth and experiencing all its side content (I miss the buisness mini-game from Yakuza 7 though). Gameplay wise its a major improvement over Yakuza 7, unfortunately the main story of Infinite Wealth wasnt as enjoyable to me as Yakuza 7 or Gaiden. Its still better story wise than something like Yakuza 2 or 4, but i wish they didnt leave things relatively open ended for the next game to expand upon. Overall its a great game thats worth the price tag and still a Yakuza/Like a Dragon game.
Thanks, I appreciate that 💪🏼 Yeah I agree with pretty much everything here, except 2 was amongst my favourites and I think I might still prefer 4. But I also think what makes this series so great is that even it's worst isn't bad, it's just not as good as some of the others.
@@ExtraLifeReviews agreed, there isn't a bad Yakuza game and it usually just comes down to preference. I know people have mixed opinions on Yakuza 5 and 6, but those are personally some of my favorite stories and gameplay in the series.

Yes agree, Dondoko was more intricate but I found the management game in LAD more engrossing and rewarding.
Like a dragon infinite wealth is an amazing game, but I wish the story was a little bit better
It had its ups and downs, I think it was overall still pretty good but yeah, it could have been better
