When you convert a stereo project, you choose 7.1.2, but if you have a 7.1.4 setup, it still works fine and you can pan to all the height speakers? I would think there would be an option for 7.1.4 in the Project Settings.
It's easily confusing. The Atmos bed is a 10 channel bed 7.1.2. The height speakers are classed as left and right. This is so it is scalable, if you have 2 or 4 or 12 height speakers it doesn't matter the bed sees them as just left and right. When you use an Object then the speakers are used individually for the placement of the object. Hope this makes sense.
@@NoQualmsTheArtist I see, that makes a bit more sense. I do wish there was more clarity in the preferences, or even just a note about it. We need more terms for when setting up a project. It seems like 4 heights is a common standard, why did they make the beds a standard 7.1.2? Tbh, using the renderer with ProTools is 20x more complicated...
People that are new to logic pro. If you look at his screen and you see how many tracks he has playing if you look close, you will see the ‘I’ button showing that every one of those tracks is an audio file. They are not midi files. If you try and create that many tracks in MIDI, most likely you are going to crash your CPU.
@@jeffreyjbyron Todays kids want instant glory so I figure more than a few noobs will be crashin their logic tryin to do 100 midi tracks with a million plug ins Not to mention I just saw a video with some kid sayin audio file take up a huge amount of cpu….smh Why are troglodytes allowed to reproduce?
My man, this video is fantastic. Will be keeping up with the rest. Many thanks!

Chris, did you leave those duplicated Ozone settings ON (mostly EQs, no dynamic plugins, I think) across all tracks for final ADM BWF bounce?
Do I put the stereo pans to center before I convert to Dolby?
GOOOOOOOD V I d e o o o o o o !
Gotta figure out what I am doing wrong. Following step by step. I either get one side playback or no playback.

@@jeffreyjbyron because the minimum requirement for Atmos in home theatres is 5.1.2. that's why the height speakers are .2

Estupendo
why sell 2 speakers when you can sell up to 35. such a bs.

If you are new to Logic, Chris has better videos for you. I would say this one it for intermediate-advanced users.
