Could it be that ms PowerPoint is so big, it is sending do much data down the usb connection and brdge bus that it is causing a corruption in the file, or droping what it considers unnecessory data?
@WayneHanley just assumed you were using external storage for transportation. Keeping it old school. Then it has to be a sync issue with OneDrive or cloud storage.

Where is USB coming from in the equation?
