Townsend was a former 10 and and so is Finn, both have lived in other countries, both are International, booth have been called mercurial in the past, both in clubs and in 6 Nations Europe. Where is the difference of opinion, we seem to skirt around the differences. Its almost incomprehensible that they dont understand each other!!

Angus Mathews Townsend was a Lions 10 in a tour win, he was absolutely class in his day! Watch the 1999 5 nations highlights. Finn may end up a better player than Toonie was, but not yet.

Angus Mathews 😂 you clown. Gregor was the starting 10 for the winning ‘97 Lions Tour. One of the best running 10s in the British Isles! Finn isn’t even close.
Townsend's an educated, middle class guy who was an accountant. He may have been mercurial but he was also pretty buttoned-down. Finn is a working class former stonemason who likes to cut loose. They're quite different guys. Hopefully they can work through it - but Adam Hastings has been excellent in his absence.

Finn an lockdown don't go together. Would be good if he gets the head down at some point and focus on rugby cause he's a massive talent and I'm not Scottish. . After awhile it's easy enough to understand him.
Jim, why would you condone someone who currently plays for his country going public with the press? Very few if any other players do this because it’s the correct thing to do. I’m sure many players have a great deal to say and divulge but they do not choose to.
