Not usually a fan of 14+ crowds, but everyone in the room was so energetic and wholesome. To this day, this still stands as the best gig I've had the pleasure to be a part of. If you get the opportunity to see Holding Absence live, fucking take it.
This band is honestly incredible live and will blow you away if you haven't seen them. I seen them in swansea last year and the only thing that let them down was the venue as the acoustics were shocking. Ash puts so much energy into his drum playing that his hard hitting, skin tearing strikes of each piece of equipment it outdid some of the melody. As a drummer I have no problem with this, but be aware that a small venue can shade your judgement of you aren't open minded. Honestly though greatest band and album ever!
@DannyP 6 I hate to say it and believe it, but it's true. That band is no more. The vocalist told me on Twitter that he, the guitarist and drummer are gone. The band is basically dead at this point.
@@solid5502 Well, the vocalist quit before their tour with Acres and Captives last September. The other members played instrumental sets until their vocalist decided to rejoin the band a few shows into the tour. After their tour had finished, he decided to quit again. The other members even tried to get Captives's vocalist to join their band and asked him if he wanted to join them - in presence of the other Captives members (wtf) - but Matt didn't want to. Captives is much better than Parting Gift ever was anyway.
Me realizing a setlist will never look like this again 🥲

They sound exactly like the record!! Incredible! Please come to the US!
