I love this show! Incredibly touching! Recovering from grief, trauma, or even a panic attack is very relatable. I’ve also seen everything now and I’d only see again are Sterophonic, Illinois, The Notebook & Hells Kitchen for a 2nd time. All the rest were meh this year!
Loved this show. Saw the last two performances in Chicago, and couldn’t hold back the tears. 😭 So incredibly moving. Storytelling through dance at its best. Agree orchestrations are fantastic. Hope there’s a cast album or filming for later streaming as it deserves a life somewhere after the limited run.
Thanks. Haven’t seen it yet. As for Hell’s Kitchen, I am told it has been recised so your old review may need updating. I also saw it at the Public, but seeing it again in a few weeks to see the revisions.
I spoke with the press rep for Hell’s Kitchen and she said the changes were slight changes in the set and music, so Iw wasn’t intending on seeing it again. But, with all the nominations, as an OCC and Drama Desk voter, I’m going to try to see it again for voting purposes.
i could not "get into" this show.....know that it is good...the dance/etc.....but do not see it gaining a lot of attention from the public....especially families......understand it is a limited run.....needs to make way for the incoming SUNSET BLVD...
I’ll actually be interested to see what the attention and hype is around the Sunset Blvd production. Seems extraordinarily positive for a stripped down show. I know clips are only clips, but from what I’ve seen it’s over sung. The Glenn Close revival I didn’t enjoy the show overall, so maybe I wouldn’t like the new version no matter what. 😂
@@hummersd THINK IT IS RUNNING MAINLY ON HYPE OF THE DIRECTOR AND HIS INNOVATIVE STAGING........not sure how it will do with the public after a few months...with high prices for tickets/etc....sure they will be dependent on the tony nominations for next yr to sustain a run....or they just might settle for a limited run...
@@evanpeay - I wonder if the reaction to Sunset on this side of the pond will be similar to Cabaret. I doubt it’ll be a long run unless they replace well. Nicole will likely get other gigs out of it and not want to stay long.
P E R F E C T L Y ❤ perfect
such a deep story for something to replace Spamalot at the St James

I saw Hell's Kitchen last weekend and loved it. The plot is thin, but I thought the music and performances were great.

I felt the same way. I thought the music was gorgeous, but I could have just listened to it at home.
