    The Mobility involved in snatch or even clean and jerks are so underrated. This kid is doing a great job. I guess he will work more on his upper body strength as he progresses.

      Very true, that is the unfortunate state of Indian weightlifting. They have to use powerlifting metal plates where they should have bumper plates.

      @@sarveshg85 but rubber weights are so cheap here, I have a set of competition bumpers (200kg) that hardly cost Rs 30000, there are very few companies which make calibrated powerlifting (steel) plates like these and they cost 2x as much.

      Lol bro. In weightlifting the more you jump the lesser you have the chances of coming under the bar successfully and balancing the weight. Go check how olympic weightlifters do their lifts. They jump barely a few cm or dont jump at all. I will recommed you wacthing the event of mirabai chanu this olympics. She doesnt jump at all. At low weights you can have fun. But when weights become heavy jumping is a joke.

      Hello sir! The snatch, clean and jerk are taught primarily to improve explosive work capability. If you have ever been coached with an empty bar, the coach will always ask you to jump as high as possible in the hang position. This is to teach your body to "explode" better from the hang. The jump helps accelerate the bar upwards. As the weight goes up, you will be taught to maintain the jump height. Also, as the weight goes up, the athelete will learn how to focus on moving under the bar (with its upward momentum provided by the jump). The jump height will keep going down, as the weight goes up.

      @@sarveshg85 lol man that jump with empty bar is just taught to improve explosiveness and not as a "technique". Professional and international weighlifters do jumps in cardio sessions. But while doing heavy lifts they don't jump at all. Jumping while lifting weight is a threat to lower back and it also stops you from coming under the bar. And if you still diaagree. I would ask to to watch the world record snatch holders like lu xiaujun, pyros Dimas etc. These are multiple times Olympic gold medalist. Please dont spread wrong knowledge about weight lifting. Go please check the event of mirabai chanu also. She was not jumping so that its easy to come under the bar. The chinese gold medalist in her category didnt even lift her feet a cm from the ground
      Without jumping while lifting you can handle weight easily above your head and also your lower back is safe.

      As the weight goes up, the jump will automatically get reduced. The kid has pretty decent form. Some shifting of the hip, but he should be able to correct it. ❤️

      The jump is meant to vertically accelerate the bar for the catch position. Since the weight is low, the jump seems more pronounced. Same lifter higher poundage and the jump will be replaced by a sharp and loud tap that you see with world class athletes.

      That is because, at a meet, you go with the strategy of completing a lift that you are veryyyy comfortable with. This guy probably saw : 1. no one in his age and weight class (he was the only lifter). 2. The others in the category did a lower number. He is ensuring that he gets a medal and white lights/flags. I am sure he could have gone heavier.

      @@santoshghorela7139 दिमितरी क्लॉकोव का एक ट्यूटोरियल वीडियो देखा जिसमे बोला कि पंजे से प्रेस कर के हिल उठाओ और थर्ड पुल में नीचे बैठते वक़्त हिल और पंजा सरकाना है.... ज्यादा जम्प से injured होने या उम्र होने के बाद प्रॉब्लम आ सकती है....इतने जम्प के समय बॉडी हवा में होती है जिससे पावर नहीं लगता...एक बार try जरूर करना
