For one, he's obviously illiterate. Then, besides being a leader for his people, has no real talents other than being a successful bootlegger and a ruthless killer. You see the younger, educated Black teens and the contrast between them and someone like Chalky who still carries that "slave mentality". And I also have had beans and rice all my life (tell me it ain't good enough!) 😅😅😅 My grandmother would make that type of food. 😅 Forgive my Mexican "rancho" ways. 🤠🇲🇽🇺🇸

I like the scene where Owen slater is building the bomb and joking around, shows how much he has made bombs for IRA in his earlier life maybe i dont know but i like to thinks so. Im not sure if someone allready told you but the young boy who you see with Lucky Luciano and Mayer lansky, is Benny "bugsy" siegel. Later in life his boss sent him to Nevada, he is known for being the founder of Las vegas. Just a intresting side story. And as a hip hop fan like i know you are, maybe you want to check american rapper called Beanie "bugsy" siegal 😊
The character of Harrow is writing genius. A guy with half a face. "The Lost." Symbol of an entire generation. The whole world at the time, really. A false front over chilling ruins. This show is for sure a pillar of peak tv.

You know Jimmy said he was in the war for 3 years, I always wondered about that because it makes no sense. America first got involved in WW1 in 1917 and the first American troops joined the western front in spring 1918. The armistice was signed on November 11, 1918. Even if you count mobilisation time, training and transport, there were no American occupation zones and all the troops were brought back before 1919 ended, it never adds up to 3 years.
