Adele is a pub singer that will never get over being dumped. Robyn brightens the world when she sings, and she'll never be dancing on her own if I was there.
What makes her phenomenal is that she is imperfect on her delivery. Like you said she doesn't have a technical voice, but she can convey emotions and make you feel human. Her lyrics are far to beautiful, and she has some sort of umph to her voice that reminds you what it is to feel. I have never felt that listening to Adele, or numerous other ballad singers.
