That box reminds me of a similar coping strategy I used to use, instead of putting bits of paper in the box and locking it away, I used to write down everything negative people would say to me and put it in a fire pit then light the fire pit watching all the negatives things people have said disappear. It helped me so many times, a few times I even cried while watching the bits of paper burn.

I think the reference you were trying to make at the end with “sand” on the candle fire was from ‘Are You Afraid of the Dark?’ It always ended with “I declare this meeting of the Midnight Society closed.” And they’d put the fire out with water. But at the start of each story, they would say, “Submitted for the approval of the Midnight Society, I call this story, The Tale of...” and would throw sand on the fire to make it smoke up (Fun Fact: the “sand” was actually powdered non-dairy creamer).

My nine year old niece gave my five year old son his first set of Pokemon cards not long ago. Since then we have begun to collect them. The other night he got a binder to build on and a couple of packs. He was so excited by it that he wanted to buy more in which we had to limit. lol. We have begun to make it his special thing for him when he goes to the store.
I think the package has some form of lollie or food! Most likely lollies. One week for a donation, it would mean a lot to myself (and I’m sure other Aussies) if you could maybe donate to one of the charities that help our drought stricken farmers. It’s gotten so insanely horrible here and it absolutely breaks my heart for them, their families and even their stock. It’s not a way to live and they work so bloody hard. A good charity is one that is local to me called Burrumbuttock Hay Runners. A local farmer started it up in a little region town and got heaps of truckies on board to gather a heap of hay and other things and drive it all from the border of New South Wales and Victoria all the way up to Queensland to various farmers doing it hard so they can feed their stock and themselves. This bloke deserves Australian of the Year. The work he’s done is phenomenal. But please consider it 💕 Keep up the amazing work you’re doing. You’re an inspiration.
