There were no drugs or alcohol involved in his sad ending. He had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease, and he hadn’t yet been diagnosed but was found to have Lewy body dementia. Hard to accept that a brain so brilliant can break down so devastatingly.
If you have a chance, treat yourselves to the video of his meeting with Koko the gorilla. The communication between them is phenomenal.

One of the greatest comics ever . Incredible actor and humanitarian also . He had LBD which is a form of dementia although he had been diagnosed with Parkinsons . This and his depression is what may have led to his sad death . Yet he lives on in film , media , friends , family , and fans forever . Saw him twice in concert and will never forget him .

I am glad you enjoyed watching Robin Williams comedy act, but he was so much more than a comedian, his movie career also showcased his talent as an actor. Good Will Hunting will always be my favorite, as well as Good Morning Vietnam and Mrs. Doubtfire!! R.I.P. Robin Williams!!!💔😪

Robin Williams was brilliant! He shined in everything he did….but if you watch him do some improv…..OMG….he was an alien! There is a sequence where he’s randomly given various objects and he makes up an hysterical line with each one.

No! He did not commit suicide on his own volition. He had and much later discovered an often misdiagnosed disease called Lewy body dementia. You can google "Lewy Body Dementia: What Robin Williams' wife wants you to know" - CNN I knew that Robin could not haven taken his life. If you read the article you come to understand how this horrible disease took the life a one incredibly gifted comedian and actor. I loved this guy His stand ups, his movies were insanely funny. However the one performance that I will always admire and laughed crazy constantly was his interview with James Lipton on the "Inside the Actors Studio" Long LIve Robin Williams!

The disease that he had was later found that it can cause the people that have it to kill themselves. It was not a -state of mind like someone that has depression but it causes them to end their lives for absolutely no reason. It is truly sad to have lost one of the greatest comedic minds that the world has ever seen. I lived in San Francisco and Robin could be caught waiting until the end of the night and come on xss stage and do an hour before the comedy store closed for the night. He would just try outxss some new material that he would be working on. His death has been a huge loss to anyone who enjoys laughter. He will forever be missed.

To make a comment the oh Robin took his life ? Is really a way of belittling this horrific and terminal condition that Robin and I share. I’ve had it 6 years and hoping for more time to come. His death was a disaster for his wife who is gorgeous and family.
