Grab a bunch of rocks the size of a strawberry and paint them red and get them in the strawberry patch quick while the plants are flowering. The birds keep pecking at the rocks and get tired of it. As your strawberries come on they think it’s the rocks and leave the fruit alone.
i love the fact that all the you tubers were invited, but your family was the only one that made it a trip and enjoyed all Redman's properties and people it was a great trip thoroughly enjoyed it through your eyes hugsssssss
I've been waiting anxiously for the mine video ever since you said you were going to Redmond. Most memorable video so far has been Seyla with the horses.
Don't be too hard on yourselves for not popping out videos as often as normal. We know y'all were on a trip and you HAVE brought us some amazing videos of that trip so far!
I don't usually comment but I truly love this video. I feel so peaceful when I go into my back yard and bond with my plants. I don't have any animals but just watching you interact with your animals made me feel the same way that I feel about my plants. Im growing spicy peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers and cilantro. Thanks for sharing.
Please document how your pest load changes after your land Sabbath. Along with soil rejuvination, it seems it would follow that insects will change, too.
Glad y'all got back home safe and sound. I'm looking forward to more videos of your trip. I'm sure it was an experience your kids really enjoyed, and will fondly remember for their whole loves. I love to travel, but it is always so nice to get back home .
Glad you guys are back and had a productive business trip. 🙂 It is awesome to know that you are able to provide other products to your customers mean while you are letting the land rest. Example of diversification and being prepared. 👍🙂
Glad your back a trip like your family took is great and can make it hard to get back to the grind of things, but I know your family will bounce back without a hitch. God bless.
We have loved watching the trip, great job you must need a good rest. Always look forward to your vids guys, very interesting and informative. Catch you soon
Welcome home. It is always nice to come back home but also the feeling of "oh man, all the responsibilities." Chores, etc. All the fun memories You and the kids will have for years to come.
I like to travel but the best part of traveling is getting back home. As it is said , there's no place like home. For an outstanding travel trip to experience the U.S. try a cross country trip by motorcycle. Of course it is hard to make it a family journey. What a way to experience it all . The heat , the cold , the wet as well as the dry. And a great view of the scenery. Riding across Arizona and New Mexico I had to stop to buy a long sleeved shirt as the sun was burning me to a crisp. Finally after traveling across most of the Texas panhandle, the landscape began to turn green! After reaching Missouri , I experienced a thunderstorm. A real gully washer. I stopped under an underpass to put on my rain gear. I noticed that the rain water was running along the side of the road about eight inches deep. Now that's a rain storm ! By now it was fairly late at night and I was desparately looking for a motel. Strange , no motels. Not even any towns. I finally figured out that when the highway was built, they had bypassed the towns. The towns were all about a mile off the main highway. I found a motel that had a resturant in the front. Great , I really need a cup of coffee. I got dried out and went for my coffee. Oh oh , they had closed fifteen minutes ago. However , I had a Coleman one burner stove with me. That instant coffee was as good as any gourmet coffee. Riding across southern Missouri was beautiful , warm with cool wind. Riding across the western states was like riding through a blast furnace. I stopped for another coffee in eastern Missouri and there was a fellow there telling the waitress , " Oh Lordy ain't it hot ? It's the humidity you know ." I couldn't take it and I spoke up. Telling him that I had just ridden across California , Arizona and New Mexico and that he didn't know what HOT was ! You see , the humidity makes the air feel cool as it blows past you. Yes , in the desert states the humidity is low but the temperature is still HOT . In the east , I had people stopping to ask if I needed assistance whenever I stopped by the road for a rest. That sort of thing almost never happens in the western states. Yup , a motorcycle is the way to experience it all .
Hey guys I'm glad ur home miss yas ..I want to learn to live like you guys are for my family I would love too meet yas ...I hv learn so much from yas just wish lace would show her cooking more and how she makes her homemade beauty stuff...
Yep we will wait for the catch up- don't worry about us. You Guys get yourselves organised & settled first. We are always here. Cheers Denise- Australia
Iv been binge watching ur videos after work like every day I recently went all out with a garden and now some things are better the others my cucumbers are shriveling up and drying out even with plenty of water so im on the hunt for some info anyway love y’all’s videos thank you
Have you tried using a shade cloth? That can reduce sunlight. If the sun is hot enough, then soil will dry so fast that you would have tonwater several times a day, no matter how much you water.
They have planned not to plant anything. They will make due with whatever ends up growing on the land this year. I believe that means that they can eat anything that matures on the land.
Oh good,. I thought I missed it. PRAISE GOD. I didn't. My dad took my mom and I to the DETROIT salt mind before it closed. First, I was scared, to go underground. Then I stayed real close to my dad. Then I loved it. I will be watching your salt mind adventure right up front and close. So now, do you think you'll be moving❓❓❓🛐🛐🛐✝️✝️✝️🀄🀄🀄🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟🌻🌻🌻🌹🌹🌹. What you showed us was fantastic. WELCOME home dear loved ones. Your goats we're excited to see you. It was cute,. It that you dad, it really is YOU. Their eyes grew with love and EXCITEMENT. Running and peaking around the corners. They have personalities. They love you all. Thank you love FROM S E MICHIGAN 🀄🀄🀄🌹🌹🌹🤟🌻👍👍👍🌹🌹
Welcome back, sunflower. I was wondering why we hadn't had a video of the salt mine yet, given that was the primary destination for the trip! lol. Looking forward to that. One thing I've been noticing.... Seyla is a bit of a natural in front of the camera, Jeremiah, well, he's young, loves hamming it up for the camera, but Josiah...he seems kinda reluctant to be on camera. Does he not like being on camera?
So happy you're home thank you for sharing your faith with us. We love your family and your positivity. Your faith shows through in your homesteading!!! If you come anywhere near Orlando you better come visit us in Plant City!
Glad to see your animals are doing good. Especially with all the concern for poultry right now. You guys have some good help looks like everyone was happy when you returned.
Yes u is, i wan't me a Yurt! U can do so much with one, welcome home. Yes Good salt is good for so much, it a cleanser in many ways also. Yr doing fine!🤙
We rotated crops every 2 or 3 years, always had 1 space fallow... aka land sabbath. That land we added nutrients & compost & tilled it in. That spot would rest 1 or 2 years. So basically had land divided in 3. I tried to be a good steward. Now I've had to move in town due to health (& I'm now alone), just a few plants in pots now.
Good evening, thankful you are safe back home. I have question regarding the sabbath land rest. Is the land rest every seven years you farm starting with the 1st year of harvest or is it considered to be starting on the 2nd full year of harvest? I hope I am explaining this well..
We're getting ready for our annual motorcycle trip, it won't be as long as normal but that's ok. By the time we get back it will be about 3800 miles. Most trips are 4500 to 5000. Great part of being retired no schedule.
Bro, you have massive room for a red wiggler compost farm, you add at least two incomes, amend your soil, and use another harmonic tool for your homestead... I'm an off grid idiot before his time, I built a home in 2012 out of Earth bags and used tires, and I'm currently working on my second house. you definitely need a earth home to pass down to the generations, my design grows food indoor year round and has a experiment idea to have indoor outdoor fish ponds since I'm in the South, but I definitely like seeing like minded people just putting in the elbow grease for 100% self equity .. doing your part... 👍
Grab a bunch of rocks the size of a strawberry and paint them red and get them in the strawberry patch quick while the plants are flowering. The birds keep pecking at the rocks and get tired of it. As your strawberries come on they think it’s the rocks and leave the fruit alone.
I did the same around my tomatoes. Seemed to do the trick.
Brilliant idea! 👌 God bless you
I've done that before, Works pretty well.
I'm about to move my strawberry plants to a bigger area and will definitely try this one 👍
Welcomed back good people and family, God bless you all

Hello dear, how are you doing?
i love the fact that all the you tubers were invited, but your family was the only one that made it a trip and enjoyed all Redman's properties and people it was a great trip thoroughly enjoyed it through your eyes hugsssssss
There were many TH-camrs there that toured all the properties and met some fantastic people.
I've been waiting anxiously for the mine video ever since you said you were going to Redmond. Most memorable video so far has been Seyla with the horses.
Glad you got back safely!

what kind of soil ? have you added compost to it ? How much sunlight does it get in day ? 8+ hours ?
Has it produced any so far ?
Welcome home!
In the year of land Sabbath, can you eat the perennials?
Appreciate you!
They have planned not to plant anything. They will make due with whatever ends up growing on the land this year. I believe that means that they can eat anything that matures on the land.

We haven’t traveled since before the Vid. Now, we still don’t have the means
