The documentary was, sadly, spoiled, for me, by the excessive, repetitive and too-loud music. Nevertheless it was very informative and interesting. Thank you.

Their paintings are showing @ Legion of Honors in SF, U.S.A now. Young peoples had the courage to tell the truth and social reality.
Over 150 years plus had been past, whole ideas behind become more easy to accept and appreciate now. Art takes a long time to understand them well! :( Never too late, right!

it is more like critics favor, and selecting what the agenda of the day... very old game that is repeated over and over again. Some of Van gogh painting if shown to you , and you do not know who made it, you would discard as amatur attempt at painting and rightly so.. another thing the critics heart change after his death and after the translation of his letter to his brother theo, only then it become popular... to me some of his drawing is even better.. but not mentioned.. it is capcricious game ..and connection... very old game..

He wasn't a Pre-Raphaelite. Although he was married to Jane Morris and knew them, that's as far has his connection to them goes. Technically, he's associated with a completely different movement.

Darwin effect on ophilia .... Art is beautiful without lies and forcing fake interpretation .. Darwin??? mmmmmk

Ophelia was painted years before Darwin's Origin of Species so any "Darwinian" interpretation of the plants etc intended by the artist in the painting is anachronistic. Another case of Art Critics talking bollox.

One of my favourite art periods during the the Victorian era, along with millions of others. The passion, romantic, exquisitely painted woman, and landscapes, is a MUST see and experience, as this band of "brothers", have brought a totally new vision to us, as to how they view the sublime, and celebrate all that is beautiful, in their unique paintings emotions, with lush, loving, brush strokes.

..it would still be daisies, bit strange, normally they don’t grow in water..probably for their symbolic meaning, symbolizes innocence, purity (virginity) and loyalty in love..

It's a shame that the aspect ratio is wrong.
