But she never had her shoulders down or back and her neck was always tense and just basically straightening her leg so overall if you look closer her hip hop is better

Soph_D 24 yes but they don’t base it mostly off of technique. If you look at the score sheet it’s mainly artistry and emotion. That’s how a lot of dancers get to the finals while not being as good as the ones that were cut. Because if you look that’s really the reason she is there. Not her technique.

Graceland Rojas to be honest, you can't really choose. Sure, you can train specifically in one style and try to get good at it, but your body will always be made for a specific style of dance. For instance, more muscly people tend to be better naturally in hip hop, rather than lyrical or ballet. Not saying they can't be good at it, just saying they'll naturally be better at a stronger style of dance as oppose to a softer one

this is awesome, but she has no feelings when she dances from a different character, to another. i can't feel the sense of lightness when ballet, and not enough attitude when doing hip hop.

You need to strengthen your core. Balance in turning comes solely from core strength.
Breathing also helps. I used to continually fall over, but now my falling is cut down from "practically certain" to "rare". Breathe out when preparing, and in while turning.

Great musicality, choreography, smile...would have liked to see a deeper war between the two as a story of battling the passions and loves within to see how in the end they both win and can be balanced, but she shows this balance with such grace that takes years to develop! The dance was amazing, but I think the thing lacking was sharpness in her hip hop side; she didn't stick a finish on her movements. However, I think she is just more trained as a ballet dancer which would make sense as ballet is a lot more fluid than hip hop in a sense. Either way, the dance was great!

This is like me and my friend battling. I do ballet, and she does hip hop. Two completely different styles.
Amazing! She's absolutely fabulous...I remember one time when I was little and in ballet and we had to go to the hip hop room for part of class (our teacher had to go out for some reason I think...?) and they had us try and keep up with their moves and it was next to impossible for us...but seriously the amount of dedication it takes to become great at any style of dance is just incredible and to do both of these kinds and mix them so fluidly is stunning
(Me, personally, I didn't have the drive to push myself to go any further with dance, but I very much applaud those who do)
Can everyone stop comparing her to Chloe East, saying Chloe's a better dancer. Yes, it's your opinion, but tbh Chloe East is slightly overrated. This girl does this dance a lot better.

This is amazing, I mean, a double en pointe? And combining hip hop and ballet is really interesting. Yes, your technique could use a little bit of work, and so could your facial expressions (I have trouble with those, too) but overall this is amazing! Very good job.

+yayforme9 The choreography was bad. I think the routine didn't showcase her skill at ballet, and showed how weak she is at hip hop. She really needs to work on her arms (they were just flopping around with no energy to them most of the time), and balance.
