  • The TRAPO Loading System TLS 3600, presented in March, acts autonomously: A clear competitive advantage, because thanks to this unique selling point the TLS can compensate for differences in height as well as position corrections on the ramp.
The TLS 3600 got its name from a special feature: It loads 3 pallets of 1200 kg each in parallel in one operation, i.e. 3600 kg in total.
Unmistakable in function and design, the TLS closes the safety gap between production and loading ramp. In doing so, it literally sets a new course for automated loading and unloading: it can be set on rails to serve up to four loading and unloading stations. Depending on requirements and scope, several TLSs operate in the loading zone - for optimum flexibility.
Trucks and containers are loaded in three sequences: Firstly, up to three pallets are placed in a row and aligned on the stationary part of the system.
Then the row is picked up and loaded.
Parallel to the loading process, the next row of pallets is formed and prepared. This continuous sequence saves time and distance.
Unloading is carried out in reverse order.
For a 13 meter trailer the loading time with 33 pallets is about fifteen minutes, depending on the goods to be loaded.
The pallets are delivered by the TRAPO Transport Shuttle TTS 1200.
As a control instance, TIM®, the TRAPO Intelligent Management System, controls and monitors the automated processes between production and loading ramp - so that TTS and TLS operate safely and efficiently alongside and with each other.
As a specialist for the high care sector of the food industry, pharmaceutical industry and medical technology, TRAPO AG also offers all components as stainless steel versions - designed, manufactured and tested in the TRAPO Technical Centre from one source.

Great concept however what’s the target market? Production base warehouses? What about the majority of warehouses that are 3PL services?

How big are those pallets ? I never ran into a 33 inch wide pallet . Most trailers are 100 inch inside, .............. or less . Even then if the pallets aren't perfect it won't work very well .
