Such a amazing video... your plant is so healthy and well Bloomed 😍😍 I have big leaf hydrangea I am from Mumbai but it has not produced any blooms since I bought it from MP 2 years back and it was not in bloom when I bought it. It was too small as shown in your updated hydrangea video but I did all the things that you recommended, but still it's not in bloom. What I should do? I want it to bloom well. My plant is only 1 feet or less than that.
@Mamta Matthar, Very sorry for the late reply...have few comments to respond and doing one by one today. But I believe, I have already talked with you. If not, kindly let me know :-) Thank you :-)
Half milk half water spray leaves. Another is baking soda. I just learned the milk method and saw you asked. I know it was awhile ago but I fig incase you never figured it out or wanted a fairly easy fix. Hope it helps if not disregard.
Thankyou for your amazing video.First of all, we already knew that the color of hydrangea will depend on the pH of soil right. For the first question, you said that when the leaves turned yellow we should add aluminium sulfate right. But right know the color of your hydrangeas is pink, which means it in alkaline pH. If we add aluminum sulfate we will change the soil pH into acidic. and when the pH is acidic the color of your hydrangea will be blue. Is your color of your hydrangea turned blue right know?
@Priskila Jap, Warm welcome :-) Plz keep the soil consistently moist and don't let it dry out. I heard temp in Indonesia is quite high (at this time). So, keeping under direct sunlight wouldn't be a good idea. If you can, provide filtered sun and arrange a green net if possible. Here is one of my other video with 99 Days Updates - th-cam.com/video/dOtjIqAqxpE/w-d-xo.html (covered everything from planting to flowering) Hope that helps. Thank you for watching the video, appreciate it.

Hi! I bought a small hydrangea (in container) that had very pretty pink blooms when I bought it. I've been watering it at the roots every few days to keep the soil moist however, now the blooms are turning brown and crispy! Do I cut the stem just below the mop of dead blooms?? Also, a few of the leaves are turning brown at edges... im a beginner and don't know how to keep my beautiful plant from dying! I'd like to get the plant back in shape before planting in the ground after the last frost in 2 weeks... thanks so much!
Hey thank you for this wonderful video. Recently something unfortunate happened to some of my plants including a blooming hydrangea. A new coat of red paint had been applied to the exterior of my building and now I realize that the rain washed colour had terrible affects on my plants. The leaves have become soft and burnt and the top part has wilted. I am very worried and i am watering it hydrogen peroxide. Can you please suggest some effective method for recuperating my plant?

Quite common on Hydrangea and this is actually seen on older growths. Recently I have uploaded a video and you can do the same - th-cam.com/video/P1QjhdXEnyk/w-d-xo.html I am already getting new growths with fresh leaves and also it's about to flower. My hydrangea plant which i purchased last year has just bloomed once and inspite of pruning, repotting and adding fertilizer, the leaves are very tiny. Please help.
Please note that plant can get into a shocked status ! Just water and keep them to adapt to the atmosphere. It may need sun or shade adjusted. Has the pot got space for root to grow and plant to develop ? If so, please avoid much action on that plant for atleast 6 months time. Hydrangea plant needs good air circulation. Keep watching the plant.
@Amrita Das, Hydrangea bloom well in cool climate...but, in my place temp is quite high as well. I am from Guwahati and so need some special care for more flowering. You can definitely grow as temp in Kolkata n Guwahati is almost similar. Before they bloom, we need to provide them 2-3 hours of direct Sunlight and once they start to bloom, need to move the pot to a bright area, no direct Sunlight. Also, need lots of water - the soil should be consistenly moist and we should not let the top soil dry out. Having said that, soil should be extremely well drained and after watering, water should come out through drainage whole within 10-15 seconds. Hydrangea is a gorgeous plant and good luck in growing it :-) I have few more videos on Hydrangea :-)

@linna agustina, You are most welcome :-) Actually without any direct Sunlight, it's not going to bloom. But it's okay if we keep them in bright area once they already produced the buds. Enjoy the blooms and then again keep it under direct sun to produce new buds again. This is how I manage my plant as in my place, it's quite hot too :-( Watering once would be sufficient since it's not getting too much direct sun. Hi, your videos are so so so very helpful! Thank you so much for sharing all the tips and tricks. My hydrangea bloomed well but it is withering everyday after morning sunlight. So I am watering even when the soil is moist. The soil is draining out the water immediately. But today when I watered it after the draining of the soil, there is still more water and it just stayed on top of the soil so I added some soil so that the water is absorbed but, the leaves and flowers have drooped even more drastically. Am afraid it might die. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE HELP IMMEDIATELY!!! Should I change the soil by any chance?? Is it OK to change the soil at this time when it is bearing flowers?
I have had hydrangeas for many years no matter which variety hydrangeas hate the afternoon sun try keeping ur plant in the morning sun only...give ur plant love and care cus they can sense the love ur giving them as they r also living beings...bieee
@Gajendra... isn’t that a large gap difference. ?doesn’t hy need the phosphate or phosphorus derivative? Aluminum is just aluminum-?where is the phosphorus in it? (Not being negative...just wondering ) (Editing to add)
Okay, heading to home Depot right now to get over when I'm sulfate. If it kills my plant I'm hoping you responsible. Lol jk. Awesome educational video. Thank you so much for posting
@Pool Man, Ha ha...sure and (I actually had a client from CA just like you. Long back though and it was when I was providing SEO services. He was really too kind and since you also talk similar to him, just felt to mention here..) No, it won't kill your plant but please again, don't use too much...generally, 5 grams (1 teaspoon) is okay for on 8-10 inch pot (2 Litre = 4.5") Wish you all the best and thank you so much for your words :-)
@@GardeningUpbeat no thank you for helping novice gardeners like myself feel confident to think that I can do this, lol. Did you go to horticulture School to know all of this information, or did you just learn it on the way, if not your personal?
@Pool Man, You are most welcome and no worry with questions :-) Actually, have been gardening since my Childhood as my parents are home gardener as well. Though, I had to discontinue gardening for many years due to study, job related issue.

Why don't you have blue coloured hydrangea? If you adjust ph to 5.5 you will be able to do it.
I have grown this plant from cutting. It's 5 month old very healthy but its not flowering please give solution.
@Bandana... it’s in his vids.
Can we use alum instead of aluminum sulphate.inform me please.
@Gajendra... isn’t that a large gap difference. ?doesn’t hy need the phosphate or phosphorus derivative? Aluminum is just aluminum-?where is the phosphorus in it?
(Not being negative...just wondering )
(Editing to add)
Put one black spot behind leaf,,najar nhi lgegi aapke hydrangeas ko👍👍😀😀
@Moni Rupal, Ha ha...thank you :-) Najar nehi laga aur ache se flowering ho gayi...😀😀
Started again as I wanted to produce something for my daughter 100% organically :-) I also grow lots of vegetables though I have less videos on them. Thank you :-)
