but Daisy Mach Bike is also a good combo

Rosa's the second best heavyweight, she ain't a bad pick
Character stats don't matter that much. Funky is only slightly better then the other Heavyweights

Honestly recommend it to anyone watching this video in the present day, this mode pack is fire and there are so many cool and revolutionary tracks! There’s easy tutorials on youtube and all you need is a Wii, PC, and SD card.

there are tutorials on youtube, you know. it's really not that hard. you don't need any coding experience or anything.

You should try Wiimms Mario Kart Fun. Has more tracks and has updated LE-Code instead of the outdated CT-Code this hack has. LE-Code allows you to have 1,000+ custom tracks ;)

Well it's not as bad as Mario Kart 7...
I'm not sure if I'm just lucky, but I only see them every other race. Plus because of the item spy, you can brake so someone passes and takes the blue shell for you. To be fair, the getting hit is more punishing bc sideways knockback.

Some tips: Wheelie everywhere that you can, however if you get bumped into while in a wheelie you get stunned, so do it when you're in first or alone.
If you hold R and then tilt the control stick before you land, you can do a technique called Delay Drifting, which gets you mini turbos faster (but it only saves about a quarter of a second)
Daisy on the Mach Bike is also a good combination and if you're really skilled use the Spear. Its faster than the Flame Runner but has bad drift and mini turbo.
You can also perform something called a Delay Trick where you trick on the last possible frame of a trick (but it also saves about a quarter of a second)
If you hold R and A (or B and A) while not moving or after falling in a pit and getting saved by Lakitu, you can charge up a mini turbo which allows you to regain all your speed even if your acceleration stat is bad.
