Two things…can you show how you change the batteries and can you advise as to where you can get the landing gear struts?

    • @michelmasks
      @michelmasks ปีที่แล้ว

The windcreen is removeable. The slide for 2 battery's cut in half and then slide each battery in. So they're separated.
The landingstruts, rims and tires made by myself. Fortunally the heli crashed by a glitch in a new transmitter by software.
Gonna build it again.. in time, with new modifieds

I can. But somehow it's in the mind totally different then a fast 600 without fuselage. Perhaps the differents that there is a lot of money hovering in front of me. :-)

Hi Miles, really great job you have done here, congratulations! Could you be so kind as to tell me what the diameter of the rear and front wheels? Hope you're still flying her!

    Dank je Mr Bullet.
Er is geen camera die meevliegt en alles is gefilmd met een smartphone. Maar de gyro in de heli is een Microbeast. Misschien is dat wat je bedoelt :-)

How i made the air inlets. First i made a rough solid shape from dense foam. It's easy to cut and shape with sandpaper. Then fit and sand etc etc. When done both side's i took some fiberglass and cut it in small fitting parts. I used 30 min epoxy to fixed it and slowly and easy heat up to let the epoxy nicely flow. When done i cut the foam out. Beware...to get it stiff enough, you need two thin lauers of fibreglass. Inside need to be sanded etc. Then spray with a primer/filler and then the color you want. To get it fit in the fuselage i also used small pieces of fibreglass and epoxy. I noticed that my ESC getting hot during flying. That's logical, headspeed is low for scale flying and lack of cooling. So planned to place the ESC at 1 end of a air intake.
Hope that i was helpfull for you.

I understand completely, when I haven't flown for a while my legs shake and my flight looks like ive had a few pints...until I calm down then everything comes back. And ive been flying for 30yrs :)

      Hi John,
Glad that i could help you. I fly for 4 years now with planes and heli's. The maiden flight with the Bell fuselage was like 'flying for the first time ever'. Shakey vingers and hands. Now it goes better with more confidence.

The big question here is how do you fit two big 6S 5000mah battery packs inside with TREX 700 mechanics installed? There is very little room inside and only the top hatch is removable! Funkey should allow the front to come off like on their other fuselages. Nice job!

      Hi ar15f117
      Thank you,
You're right, it was for me also a big question how to fix this and more problems to solve, but hey........that's hobby!
I removed the middle support for the two front windows. Then there's enough space to place the two packs.
The two windows are glued together with a piece of plastic so it became one front window. Use a self made canopy lock to hold it, and some notches around to hold it on place.
There's a catch :-(. Impossible angle to fit the tray with 2 packs into the heli mechanics. So i cut the tray(s) in half.
Even then it's a bit difficult in case of the tray lock. I cut that away but left the gyropad in place and support it with a piece of aluminum against unwanted vibrations. I use a velcro strap from the left to the right to hold the trays in place. The normal canopy mounts are removed and instead bolts to hold the velcro strap. Without the lock the trays are going more backwards into the mechanics. On the end is a support between the two frames. I placed a piece of silicone hose over it to protect the pack against shaving and rubbing on that support.
Sorry for the language, my main language is dutch :-) :-)
Hope that it could help you. Succes ar15f177!

    very nice added details!
What is the flying weight, and can I ask how you made the fiberglass inlets?
Did you make a male plug? Its quite a compex shape and very nice! Well done!
