    I Love your tips.

    I love how you show that starting with a neutral base, pants, shirt, belt, allows you to bring in different color combinations with your accessories. Excellent demo!

    so helpful thankyou. You''ve convinced me - no patterns in the clothes I buy, I'll leave multicolours to the accessories. Thank you

    I have to say not every body type can dress the way you do, but you are goals as the kids say. All that means is your wardrobe fits in with my wardrobe goals.

    really enjoy your videos and simplicity for dressing well! It isn't always easy to find the base pieces in the colours/patterns one would like to start the process - where do you shop for your long sleeved tops for example (or what brand are they??) Thank you for any suggestions you may have

      Thank you. If you visit my website SusanAfter60.com you will find links in all the posts for similar, if not the same, items that I am wearing. I shop at stores like Nordstrom, Talbots, LL Bean, J Crew, and Land's End.

    Just found your site and am completely fascinated with all your great suggestions. Right now I am starting to move my spring-summer wardrobe out of my closet and change into my fall-winter items. I love...love...love leather gloves. Have managed to collect many colors, in lamb skin and suede with buttons, zippers, long & short. What is the best way to add this accessory? Certainly I don't want to highlight just my hands and draw attention to that area with my otherwise coordinated outfit. It is just like the right handbag or sweater. The colors of my gloves are beautiful. Since I am a watercolorist, this addition must be perfect or it will be a silly failure.
    Like you I prefer to match tone and and hue to my winter wardrobe in particular. But like shoes and handbags how do I add my gloves successfully?
    Also I am in my early seventies with long dark hair, long slim frame and have fooled many people about my age since I have been blessed with herititary youthful genes. As a result I can be more flexible with the limits on my more wardrobe. Thank you, Susan

      I love to add my red leather gloves as a pop of color with gray and black.

    I don't know what to do to get slacks the length I need. I am 5'5" and when I ordered pants online, they look like they could fit a 5'10" model. I have to have them altered. Is it because of where I am purchasing them from? Do more expensive pants fit better?

    • @SusanAfter60
      @SusanAfter60  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I almost always have to get my pants hemmed at least three inches or more.

    • @nuvoclassic
      @nuvoclassic 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I am 5'5" also. Although I learned to sew and COULD hem my pants I'd rather not spend the time. My sister, who is 5'2" told me about 'Petite' sizes. Petite pants have a shorter inseam and work great for me. Try ordering from stores with 'Petite' size pants...I'm XXL/plus size and order from Roaman's and Woman Within because they offer 'Petite' pants sizes.
