Hi Aaron & Claire: I wanted to say thank you for your videos and to send you some positive energy for making your videos. I can really feel the warmth and spirit of Korean culture from you two, and learned so much. Actually I am American but I am married to a Korean, so you helped me adjust to life here a lot. Your channel helps me to understand more about my partner’s culture and learn more Korean language as well. 감사합니다 and wishing you two more and more success!!
Claire is right about the high quality of Korean nail clippers! I was in visiting a small town in the USA when I realized I forgot to pack my nail clippers. The store I went to only had Korean ones. I bought 5 pairs.
You've got me so curious. And going by my own personal Japanese shopping experiences, so many products I didn't think would be all that different to what I was used to, ended up genuinely stunning me with just how outstanding and vastly superior they were to what I was used to buying/using. I've transferred your comment to my bedside notepad and will definitely buy Korean nail clippers next. I bet their tweezers are amazing too. Only one way to find out...;D
I just shopped my local Super G Mart yesterday which provides international foods from a number of countries including a number of Asian specific lines, eastern european, hispanic and American foods. I remember looking at almost all of the items you showed yesterday. The weeks before I bought the everyday spoon/chopstick sets, and an economy Korean made 28" wok, yesterday I added the Hon Dashi, 2 packs of noodle soup multi-packs that I have not tried before, a jar of pickled cucumber with soy sauce, a variety of seasonings and replenished some of my cooking sauces. Your channel has helped me to see which ingredients I can do without and which really add to my cooking. So it was very rewarding to see so many of the items you mentioned actually available in the US at the Super G Mart. I did not buy kimchi at the market because I can actually buy it cheaper at the local Walmart for cooking and if I want a larger batch I just make it myself. Thank you for helping us all to enjoy Korean cooking and to anyone in North Carolina if you are looking for Korean cooking supplies there is a Super G Mart in Greensboro and one in Charlotte.
Now I need to go to Korea. I’ve always loved the the culture and the way the food looks and I only tried Korean food about a year ago and I loved it. But sadly I haven’t had any since then. I’m super glad I found your channel. You guys rock!
I sooooo hope you get to go! :) My strong recommendation is to make sure you get a guide/personal tour to help navigate your way through the very best (and the most confusing) of the traditional eating houses. You'd never get that experience otherwise, going by some of 'Korean Englishman' and 'Jolly' videos. I was FASCINATED by all the little dishes and ways of eating them, things I'd never heard of and would never figure out how to eat if left to my own devices. Good luck! Make a triumphant video for us all when you get back from Seoul! :D
Sweet cheese, like, with honey? Or more cheese with kimchi? I've never had cheese and honey, even though it was available at the time-- I played it safe with cheese and kimchi. I want to know if I missed out. :)
You folks are definitely ambassedors for Korean food culture! I’m sure the Korean supermarket sales will boost up as far as people watch your videos ;P ha ha ha Thanks much for sharing! Your recipes are delicious and your videos are all uplifting :)
I recently discovered your channel and I've been trying to incorporate more Korean dishes in my cooking repertoire...I love you hacks for home cooking...great channel...thank you so much...
Hey ! I have noticed that your english has improved a lot, I am proud of you guys ~~ I always watch your videos when I feel sad . . . your videos are full of positive energy ! Thank you so much ~~ ❤
i love everything korean...especially the food..you guys have THE BEST food in the world and for the first time i am gonna attempt cooking some so thanks for the advice on groceries to buy
The Kimchi Pancake mix (4 kits per box) Aaron showed has been available at my downtown Seattle Costco these past couple of months. My first kit was a learning experience (I overcooked it a bit), but I was pleased with the results of the second kit. Good stuff!
I lived in Busan in 2003-4 as a singer and after work we would go and eat in this little restaurant that made the most delicious ginseng chicken soup ever!!! I miss it so much and the beautiful Korean people. Best times!! Lots of love from Australia 🤗✌🏻🇦🇺
This one was great too! I learned to investigate Korean nail clippers at my local Korean store! and white Gold will be my next maxim coffee but! I regularly buy maxim mocha gold mild.
Grocery stores never get old for me. I've figured out that they're one of my happy places, especially when on holiday somewhere new. It's such a thrill going shopping in foreign countries, I love it! I don't even care if I sound sad. :D Thanks for this video guys, you reminded me of my last holiday in Japan where I bought everything Satoshi and Shinichi from Tabi Eats recommended I do. Seriously: I bought EVERYTHING they showed in their 2-part video series. All terrific suggestions. And your ideas here are excellent, I heartily back them up and regularly buy most of what you showed. Steel cutlery for Korean food is a great idea as the metal doesn't stain from strong flavours and chopsticks and spoons smell clean after you wash them, unlike wood which will more easily absorb strong flavours and smells. I miss travelling so much and can't wait to visit Jeju and Seoul. :)
I have regular visit to Korea because of my job requirement so I have many visits to eMART. I ended buying so many things from eMART to bring back to my country. One on the list is Luncheon meat. And another good suggestion is varieties of nuts, eMART has many good varieties of nuts selection which come in big packaging but cheap. Ahh...my luncheon meat is running low stock now..hope to visit Korea soon. And lastly, you may want to consider to buy their recycling bag as your grocery/souvenir bag. Just a thought..
When I visited Korea we wrapped the soju bottles in bubble wrap and put it in our checked bag. One leaked, so wrap tape around the top. The metal caps aren't leak proof.
Yes! You are right! Here in US the same brand of soju is $14 a bottle! We do not have E-Mart here. But we don have Lotte. They're a big Korean supermarket with lots of items! Love your channel! You guys are so adorable
I love the items you mentioned, I am going to have to go to my Korean Supermarket (H Mart) near me in Vancouver, Canada, to see if we carry some of those things, I know I have seen similar items, but our Ramyeon section is massive, so no shortage there, though I love a few, so it has been hard to stray away from them. But I love the massive selection that can be found in some of the H Marts, just the problem is the best one is almost an hour from my house. But they have soy-marinated crabs. Soooo good.
When we were visiting Korea, we went to Lotte mart. We bought a bunch of green tea mix with roasted rice ( when we were on the plan and in our hotel they served us that), we loved it so much that we went and bought a bunch of it. and some corn tea too, it’s good but the green tea and roasted rice are better. We bought a lot of korean sliced ginseng because my husband love it. We also bought some ready to eat chicken soup and some squid chips ( it was really really good). Next time I visit, i will get the stuffs that you recommended in this videos.
I was stationed at Fort Riley Kansas when we hosted some ROK soldiers and I got to enjoy the food they prepared daily. Great eats and I enjoy your episodes.
I live in Japan but can't wait to go back to buy food to take home I miss, and instant coffee! I would use the nice chopsticks and other dishware all the time, want nice spoon and round metal chopsticks.
Thanks you guys so much! You are both so sweet, and generous. I had a hard day and watching videos is so relaxing and makes me feel happy :-) Love from California, u.s.a
We love you guys, your on camera personality is super fun and we also learn so much about food, easy recipes [Which I love!]. Yesterday, I cooked the wonton dumpling on pan with flour, water and scallions. Taste amazing but I was unable to get the delicious crust I saw in your video. Loved it anyway.
In USA we have H mart! It's a very huge supermarket and it also has 8 different Asian countries restaurants! Also has bank, hair salon, massage, clothes and a bakery haha its bigger than costco
Oh my God! I'll definitely buy the hotteok and the silver pot! I always grab some rameon whenever i want something warm and i did gear the silver pot makes it way better! And ive heard hotteok is really good!!! Can you show how to make it using that? Also how to cook rameon the korean way? And also whats the best rameon? And oh the Chicken gensing! Pleaaase!?!
In Hawaii my friends and I like to wrap spicy ahi poke in seaweed, so good! Thanks for the tips, we have several K markets in Honolulu including a new one called HMart. Will explore a bit. Love your channel.
Germany also has very Good Nail Clippers. I found this cripspy Seeweeds on my Last trip to Asian Food market , they so good , i had some from Hong Kong wit Soy Souse, sooo good. Im not a Huge Fan of Kimchi , i had some Fresh Sort from Korea but it was so sour. Maybe i have prep it diffrent and im not very picky in things are bit sour, but this was too much for me. But i love this Chinese pickled Mustard Foil Bags , they so yummy. And i will never run out of Gochujang and Gochugaru anymore now. 7 € for a Pack of Gyoza from Korea from BibiGo is not cheap , but the Bag was huge and they have been so delicious, esp when fried. Soon i will try to make them myself.
Hi guys!🙋 Hope u r doing good. Amazing video! i really wish i cud visit south korea one day.😍 Btw, both of ur English is so great n cute😘 Lots of luv from India!!💜
:) ~ I am very pleased and blessed to have all the items mentioned in video available to me in Northern Virginia. We have H-Marts , coco's and Lottee with all these goodies Although Soju is more expensive here for sure. So would definitely grab that and perhaps go Ramen hunting. Other than those two items... things like nail cutters seems silly since you can get those kinds of clippers in walmart, cvs, or even amazon.
Was curious about what you would show at the store in Korea. Living in Canada I can get most of this stuff but of course the cost is more. Love seaweed as a snack , eat kimchi always with rice or on my ramen. I love buying Korean ramen Shinramen but Jjajan men is my fave!
Hi from Tyler Tx. I love your show. We have a very small Asian grocery store in our city. When I get the chance I drive to the Dallas area so I can shop at a store called H-mart. Thank you for your channel.

I resemble this remark. 😂 Thank the godz for Amazon! (Adds Maxim White Gold instant coffee to cart)

the thing I enjoy the most about going to different countries are their supermarkets lol, am I weird?
Me too! I also go to supermarkets when I travel. It’s a great place to learn about local habits and find souvenirs.
That is kinda weird but in a charming way. You seem like the kind of person who appreciates things others wouldn't consider
Now I need to go to Korea. I’ve always loved the the culture and the way the food looks and I only tried Korean food about a year ago and I loved it. But sadly I haven’t had any since then. I’m super glad I found your channel. You guys rock!

That place is huge o.o I could spend hours in there just browsing everything! And cheese hotteok is my favorite kind of hotteok :3
Tatsumi Let's hope the cheese hotteok and vegetable hotteok will be on sale 🙏
I used to lol
Sweet cheese, like, with honey? Or more cheese with kimchi? I've never had cheese and honey, even though it was available at the time-- I played it safe with cheese and kimchi. I want to know if I missed out. :)
Gahhhd that roasted seaweed with rice and a bit of kimchi is one of the best things to ever hit my mouth ❤❤❤
Sine Baby Tell me about it! 😍😍😍

Great shopping list. I agree with everything. Especially if your soju is only $1. It’s $4.50 here in Seattle.
You've sold me on the metal utensils and nail clippers 😅 seriously!
Sophie Laurenti Am I good sales person? 🤣
I love Japanese and Korean supermarkets, but Korean ones are probably my favorite. I love my local H-Mart!
The Kimchi Pancake mix (4 kits per box) Aaron showed has been available at my downtown Seattle Costco these past couple of months. My first kit was a learning experience (I overcooked it a bit), but I was pleased with the results of the second kit. Good stuff!
Omg, just when I thought you two couldn't get any cuter... I love your channel and the happy way you present information!
Thank you for the amazing content! I just found your channel recently but I can't stop watching your videos, they're so fun to watch! 😁
I always get so surprised when I find out that Soju is $1. Here in South Africa it's like $15 or more!
Moesha Maduray Tell me about it!! When I was in Australia, Soju was more than $20!!! 😫😫😫
In My country its 25$
Moesha Maduray same in NYC
we don’t even have soju in our country
$21 is USD here in Chicago!
I bought Korean chopsticks and spoon in Insadong and now I am regretting why I didn't think of Emart. And hotteok, nice recommendation!
edtin ramasari Don't worry about it, I think you bought very pretty one, that is also nice 😍😍

OMG. I just found your channel and I’m so excited to travel to Korea when it’s possible. I love kimchi 💕
Welcome to our channel! 🥳 Hope that happens soon! Stay safe! 🙏😊
Maxim is my fave instant coffee. 😭 but unfortunately, grocery stores in our country rarely sell maxim coffee.
this is great! ( going through the old episodes )
Love you guys. You’re the best.
I love Hmart here in America so when I saw Emart video I had to see what it was about. Wish we had Emart in America :(
Emart is slick expensive in Korea
So i bet it would be worst here
Hi from Tyler Tx. I love your show. We have a very small Asian grocery store in our city. When I get the chance I drive to the Dallas area so I can shop at a store called H-mart. Thank you for your channel.
Yup...I've been to the E-mart in Korea 😄
In the US, most of this is hard to find (at least in my rural area) ~ could you put together and sell a basic kit to purchase all at once?
Love that tips aaron so when i visit soul korea i know what to buy thanks claire and aaron😘 i realy love watching ur vlog a learn how to cook easy recipe have a bless day
My pleasure! Hope you have a great day, too! 🤗
