"Pants", though a plural noun, refers to a single item. It's short for "a pair of pants" but you can't really have one "pant" (see also "pliers".) You can have one bookend, or one ski, and most of us have had at least one pair of socks for which we only had one.

Connections I achieved the rare reverse rainbow perfect solve I might have scored that once ever before but no solid memory of it. It was my day. I immediately saw the light blue and could have locked that in had I used the logic that PANT didn't really fit as well. But I saw purple, and locked that in first, then light blue. It's rare for me to be looking at green and yellow and it was easy enough to figure this out. Makes up for yesterday where I made 2 mistakes since I don't know Robert De Niro movies, ror did I knew Julienne was a knife cut. I actually had to look that one up!
