Swordigo: A DIFFERENT way to beat the game

- Swordigo can be beaten without Mageblade, and you DON'T need to beat all the bosses. There is a different way of beating the game which you may or may not know, and in this video I run through it.

Defeating Corruptors is one of the easiest things in the game. They are very predictable and there is even a bug where they won't attack you anymore
The bug where their crosshairs vanish? Yeah, that's pretty funny

I know how this works.
The Mageblade is a sword made of pure MAGIC.
Knowing this, The blade would have been forged in the past chamber of the mageblade. Then a few years later, they created the present chamber of the mageblade. They made it so it would be able to recover the blade with no effort.

I love the twist that the boss is a shadow of you but I feel like Swordigo could have done something more epic for the final boss, like I’m saying keep the shadow of yourself idea but maybe add extra tricks like every time you get him down by 10% he spawns a corruptor to help him or maybe every time you get him down by 15% he teleports himself and you to a previous boss arena so it’s like a cool flashback to everything you did lef up to this, I dunno it’s just a bit disappointing that this boss is so easy to cheese even though he’s supposed to me the master
So, you want a Swordigo hard mode? Just hope some madlad decides to do this.
@@YourLocalRaider im not saying i want swordigo hard, the first time i played the game it took me a month to finish , however what im saying is after playing for a month and getting to the final boss i was underwhelmed because the fight is really boring. So the devs should have put more effort into that segment.
Br part 2 is really hard but really fun and amazing

Also,this neat trick of camping in the corner,where he can't reach you is kinda funny too
He should be atleast able to summon magic beams or use the Dragon's grasp on you whenever you stay in the corner for too long
Also,what if they nerf his HP to 50%,but give him a second form where he turns into a frickin Dragon?
My strategy: equal everything

You can spam upgrade your HP if you're afraid of dying
Spam upgrading your DMG if you're too overconfident to fight a boss head-on
Tbh,I rarely upgrade the magic since it becomes more important in mid to late game rather than early game

I think that way takes much more time than it saves.
Skipping the couple temples and bosses saved me TONS of time!

I have beaten the game without the mageblade, at first it was a piece of cake, but the final boss before master of chaos was very hard, and the corruptor boss can take damage from normal swords
Wow I've been playing and replaying this game many times, but I never knew the phase 1 boss stays on the ground if you use Dimension Rift. The animation looks so weird to me lol.
I'm currently trying to 100% the game without using the sword for combat, so yeah magic build ftw.
And damn never knew the game had this many tricks before.
So now the name of the game should change to magicdigo

hey you, you are the first player to complete my Brass Sword Run challenge!
I was the first player to accomplish this feat 5 years ago, and for the first time I see someone who has also done it
I was finding it difficult in the Fire Room and the Ice Temple, so after I got dimensional magic, I didn't fight the bosses, I was just exploring the map and killing the enemies in the last arena through magic only.

I just beated swordigo and it is HARD (more emphasis on hard)
Because of a glitch where instead of 1 Master of chaos is spawned there were 2, 1 glitchy and 1 normal the glitched one blocked all the sword
attacks for me while i just kept damaging the non-glitchy one
which allowed me to win.
It is HARD and you did something i couldn't even try. RESPECT TO YOU.

I actually did a magic only playthrough a while back after my brother tried doing it. I collected swords as I didn't know which ones you could skip and beat the game without ever swinging the sword at an enemy. This makes me want to re-rout the game for that run
Fun thing i found: in the plains area where you have to get a vase for the man to activate the bridge, you can just line up 2 normal pots at the end of the inactivated bridge and jump over it. You can also get the key and still leave, no effect on game progression, the extra key can really help if there is an annoying part which requires a key. Idk if this is outdated but still, its smth i found out myself
Pretty sure they use this in speedruns, but you need to triple jump to get over (I’ve tried it but I suck at triple jumps lol)

Actually another way to triple jump is hold the jump for sometime and then jump again. When u hold jump the character jumps higher. It's easier than triple jump

Hey try to reach it it's very good feeling when you beat 4th boss use dimension & sword to get him dead lel
The fourth boss is just easy, camp on the slopes when you're low! Just remember to keep the forcefields down
This is the first game I mastered and it is still one of my favorites
even if your shortcut trick is good like playing the game in hard mode but still it feels better to play it in the way the game is designed. But that pushing thing thanks for that one.
I was struggling to kill the last boss until I opened my inventory and realized that mageblade was a thing and I didn't have the final shard. All this time I thought corruptors were just immune to all melee weapons.

I actually got to the final final boss without the Mageblade because I didn't know where to find the last piece lol. It was more fun than reflecting projectiles
Man, I'm uncomfortable seeing those map icons without stars on them, I always hunt for those chest, even when I speedrun the game...

I think im not totally master at swordigo still didn't beat that challenge but nice idea and i like it so much,watching from the start til end
In 3 of 6 saves of mine the only thing i lvl up was HP in the start, of the remaining 3, 2 of them was only sword in the start, and one of them was a hybrid build ( 3 on HP, 3 on sword and 3 on magic and repeat )
You can use the eye magic thingy in the final boss i didn't know that all i do is repell he's attack so i beat that boass without using the eye magic or wut do you call that magic

You can deflect magic bolts with the mageblade too.
I came back to this game recently. I'm doing a pacifist run where I try to kill as little enemies as possible. I found out not on the cross air bug but also the fact that you don't have to kill two of the bosses.
One thing about th mageblade it's the second most powerful thing to fight monster the only most powerful thing is like the turtle has energy blast I reflect it end it only need 1 blast,use the mageblade need 2 attack the turtles but still the mageblade is the most powerful (sword)
I literally tried the game the first time 3 days ago and by coincidence i used the magic only build but due tu it being alot less op in the later levels and how much i messed around i was max leveled in the final part
You could always use the magic sword from greyhedge village to fight corruptors right??

I used to play this game when I was impatient, ya know the reason how you kill the enemies? Patience was what I lacked and now I lack skill
Edit: the first way I killed the first boss WAS THE MAGIC and it still is second boss? Not yet I need to level up magic

can someone fly around the game with hacks to look for secrets? for example in cairnwood forest, you can see the ceiling but there are gaps in the ceiling. maybe there are inaccessible secrets?

You can defeat the final boss phase one without using dimension drift.
Use dragons grasp it deals damage
But outside of Dimension Rift, the boss steadily breaks the floor. Dragon's grasp takes a lot of energy, and the floor will break before you kill him.
