Thanks Roby for sharing this material further more making a educational clip because when I am a shipbuilding industry agent has been seeking for how to transfer jack ups, platform rigs with pontoon, and many different types of ocean floaters that you shared your work done. Again thanks.

This tow line is MUCH shorter than what we used when moving the Rowan California around the southern North Sea in the early 1980s. We used never less than half-mile long tow lines, and sometimes longer if there were a swell or significant wind, usually using two tugs and sometimes three. I remember seeing the tugs' running lights moving from side to side during night tows because the rig was yawing so much. As the radio operator I was sometimes busy calling vessels nearby to alert them to not pass between the rig and the tugs. Fun times!

It's so easy the process if we see the people's moves that subject. Maybe we think that rig always standby and never move to the other place.

Super cool video! Thanks for sharing! If you decide to do another one, would be cool to see the anchor handling portion too from the perspective of your tug. It looks like by the time you are disconnecting the tow line, all of the anchors have been deployed. Am i seeing that right? Thanks again!

Depends on the Draft including the Legs that are Protruded. It depends also on the Depth of the water. "Safe Underwater Clearance"

The music is so unnecessary and really distracts from story being told. It adds nothing. The sound of the ocean and the vessels and the crew is music enough.
