Thanks for the video, very clearly shows the cause and the steps to rectify. I'd suggest using some electrical contact grease to seal the contact surfaces after you've cleaned them to prevent them corroding again.
Thank you! After watching your video, my machine too was showing that same fault on the upper unit. FYI, I pulled the top drawer out without removing the bottom unit, there is just sufficient cable to put the top unit on the floor (drawer sideways up. Then I didn’t need to remove the actuators, just pulled out the plugs, gave the pins a wipe dry and scraped off the verdigris with a small screwdriver, replaced and now the machine works again! Total time to fix after video,
Hi Viktor, thanks so much for sharing this awesome video. Followed your steps and our pins were also green. I cleaned them up nice and shinny. Put it all back together and tested. The cleaning cycled started right away. It took me 52 minutes to complete the task. And now that it is repaired it makes so much sense. Our machine had been giving this error for about 1 year. I used to turn it off, turn it on again. Sometimes it would work, other times not. And like some other comments here, it is the top drawer giving the problem. I was almost about to go and buy a new machine. Repaired with some left over 120 grit sandpaper in the garage. You are a genius! Saved me a fortune Thanks Again for sharing. Cheers David.
Viktor, thank you so much for this video, we are diving in tomorrow morning to see if this is our issue as well. Clearly this is a design flaw that should easily be solved by design. I expected more from F&P as we have had two of their normal dishwashers 20 & 30yrs ago and never had a problem. When they bought out the dishdraws I was wrapped, gave my Miela to my daughter in law and got these, so happy for the 2 and a half years until this happened. I hope our issue is similar and fixable. Once again, thanks for the video 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks so much Viktor! Like others, I couldn't find much info on the F51 error until I found this video. I just completed your recommended repair and the machine is working great again. The top drawer was the problem as others have mentioned. I found that I didn't need to remove the bottom drawer or the actuators. I just removed the wiring plugs (once I worked out to release them) and cleaned them as you did. The job only took me about 20 minutes! Thanks again for saving me the loads of money I would have had to pay for a repair man.
Awesome diagnostics, thanks so much! I totally cheated, and only removed the top draw which gave me access to the connector. Took nothing else apart, left actuators in place. Removed the connectors which were completely corroded, and sanded them. Put back together and it did not work, bummer! Removed drawer again thinking maybe there was corrosion inside the connector so repeated the removal and reinsertion of the plug a half dozen times tweaking it in all directions a little electrical component cleaner, a little dielectric grease and replaced drawer. Boom it worked. This is a half hour job if you take the shortcut, no tools other than a flashlight, sandpaper, cleaner and dielectric for prevention. Thanks again
Thank you so much to indicate the ways to analyse and fix F51 problem. It saved me a lot of time and money to call the service. After review your youtube video shown, I just pull out all cable connectors from the leak detector unit nd clean them up without remove the whole leaks detector part, the dishdrawer is back to normal and working good. Also, I would like to share that, after F51 indicated, the drawer is hard to push in, it need to power off to reset the failure F51, the drawer is then free to move in/out without further operation. Anyway, thanks to your youtube video shown.
Hi Viktor….very helpful…i just paid AUS $384 to have 2 actuators replaced by F&P yesterday …they cost $48 a pair on EBay…..you could have saved me over $340 ….my Drawers are only 2.5 years old….definitely a F&P issue with both actuators and corroded pins on actuators….should be all replaced under warranty by F&P….as i am sure this will be a regular event now replacing top and bottom actuators ….would not recommend this dishwasher to anyone for purchase
thank you viktor you have helped me to fix mine! I just removed the top drawer and un-plugged the accuator without taking the accuator out, cleaned the terminals and plugged back in, worked first time, thank you , you are very much apreciated
Thanks - very helpful video. My problem wasn't oxidised terminals, they were perfect. The rubber boots on the actuator arms were both damaged and may have then led to some kind of internal failure. I checked with F&P NZ on 24h chat hotline - gave them my model number and they told me which actuator kit to order. very good service! $80 NZ for the Kit (two actuators) and easy to install thanks to your video. no need to remove lower drawer to fix the top - just rest the top drawer on a chair or something similar around the same height. Cheers !
Thanks for the video Viktor. I had an F52 error on the top drawer. I took the top drawer out and noticed that the connectors going into both left and right actuators were corroded. I cleaned them both up, put the drawer back in, but still had the F52 error. I ordered some new actuators from Steve's Appliances here in New Zealand. I've just fitted them and the error code has gone. I found it was a little fiddly getting the actuators in but completed the job in less than 30 minutes.
Hi Victor. Thanks for your video. I came home yesterday to this F51 error on our machine. Once I unplugged the pins that connected the actuator, I could see how tarnished they were. Cleaned them up with some sand paper and WD40, put back together and Hey Presto…error gone. I might need new actuators in the future, but for now it was an easy fix. Thank you.
Thanks Victor. Great video. Clear instructions. I cleaned the plug terminals with a small wire brush, a fine grade sandpaper and also scraped them with the blade of a small screwdriver to clean them back to bare shiny metal. Put a thin smear of silicon grease on them. Put it back together. Worked first go. Excellent. I agree with comments below re the steam getting into the compartment and causing the terminals to corrode. Heat/steam rises. The bottom drawer has not had this problem.
Thanks for the video! I have been using the bottom Draw for the last 8 months… turns out the actuator arm had just slipped off one side! Bloody legend thanks
Hi Viktor, Thanks for your very useful TH-cam on the F53 F&P error message. I managed to check the bottom mechanism without removing the top drawer. In my case the power pins were not green, but I cleaned them anyway, just in case there was bit of oxidation. He presto once reassembled, it has work fine ever since. My only regret was not doing the same on the left side just in case....... Rob
Thank you for the video, saved me a lot of time and/or money. Just pulled out one drawer and pulled both plugs out and sanded. Little tip: turn off the power before touching the plugs!
Hey Viktor - thanks for this. Just saved a heap of money. I found the same problem and cleaned/sanded the contacts and used contact cleaner as well. I didn't need to remove the whole actuator just gently levered the plugs out with a small screwdriver. Thanks again.
Hi John, I am glad to hear that you repaired your machine. Not long after I fixed the connections in mine it stopped working again so I replaced the 2 top actuators. Since then it works perfectly. Regards. Viktor
Hi John, That is the same issue. Unfortunately you need to replace the actuators. If want to use it awhile you get the replacements then you can pull the actuators apart and put them back it will be good again for awhile.
Hi Viktor, I love youtube because of people like you. You have done a magnificent job. You advice was soooo helpful. Worked a treat - it is now working like new. Thank you so much. Cheers Dave
Hi, Further to my posting 4weeks ago. Error code 53 came back, so I ordered actuator, which came in the post. Took about 7 days. The parcel was a pair of actuators so I went ahead and replaced both. The faulty side ie the right actuator arm was quite loose. Done and dusted using your instruction’s. Thank you. So once again watch this space. Hopefully not for a couple of years or more. Rob
Brilliant! However I have to add (as others have said) that there is probably no need to take the actuator out. Just pull the plug, clean the contacts, put it back - and do both side. And it does appear to be a top drawer problem so leave the bottom in. After I put it all back together and it ran OK - I realized I left my tiny bit of 600 grit wet & dry in there.... Leaving it for next time!
Sharing how mine is "fixed". I got f51 twice on top drawer, one when my dd60 is 2.5 years old, another time 3.5 years old. I believe both were caused by I didn't put item low enough so it triggers warning from the closing lid. (The design of side folding rack is not very fool proof, it can be too high if you are not careful) Customer service said it is lid motor error. Before the technician arrived, I tried some basics, like disconnecting lid motors from yoke, adjust lid position, check if there is anything wet anywhere that should not be wet. In the end, in both occasions, I realized what I did is useless, the only two factors might get rid of the f51 error code are 1)simply leaving the drawer open and maybe something went from west to dry. 2) i unplugged the washer from power for hours and hours, even overnight. Any how, above combinations worked. My washer is now back to normal. The 2nd time it is "fixed" by me doing nothing that might be correct! Then of course cancel the booking with Fisher and Paykel technician. I bet this is not suitable to everyone, but it is how mine works again. BTW seems many complain about the recent drawer models can't wash as clean as the old ones. I will still buy another one despite knowing all these, because the two drawers are super convenient, I no longer need to load anything from washer to my cabinet.
This is very similar to some comments here. Owner actually didn't fix it, somehow the error code is reset. So now one question is, why fisher and paykel didn't offer a way to reset error code easier? This is important for uses to troubleshoot. Apparently the old models can use key combination to do that.
Ex f&p service tech here, f51 is lid motor failure, steam from lower draw causes corrosion on plug pins to upper lid motors. Corrosion also internal to motors. Replace motors in upper draw, clean plug pins with wet and dry paper, wipe with electrical grease. Plug in and good to go
Hi thanks for the video! Im having the same issue with my top draw. I pulled it out as you showed and the pins on the left side were oxidised like yours, I’ve sanded back and cleaned the dust away but still having the same f51 error pop up when I re-connect. I was unable to pop out the actuator to check it, i didn’t want to break the plastic. So just pulled out the connection to check the copper pins. Any other tips for what it could be?

@@viktorase sajnos elkopott a csapágy. Kotyog a dob ( hátul a szíjtárcsa is ugyan annyit mozog) De még nem súrol a dob, csak hallani a csapágy hangját elég durván. Szeretném kicserélni benne itthon, ha találok hozzá való alkatrészt. Mennyire lenne nehéz feladat? Kivitelezhető , vagy inkább felejtős a dolog? Nekünk megfelelő ez a gép is, egyszerűen minden gépet túlél, csak most ő is betegeskedik.
Szia. Szivok egy elektrolux EWS 1250 mosogéppel. Lassan már mindent is cseréltem benne. Kondik triak a panelen, ajtózár. Köszönöm előre is a választ! 🤗
?! köszi előre is

Szia Viktor! Szuperek a videók! Egy kérdéssel fordulnék hozzád, ha lehet. Van egy Bosch előltöltős mosógépünk, ami pár hónapja reszelő hangot add, amikor indul a forgás akkor hallható jól! Mi lehet az oka, mit kellene megnéznem ? Válaszod előre is köszönöm!
A reszelő hangot a dob adja ahol bele ér a fűtő betétetbe.
A dob központosítást hogyan tudom ellenőrizni? Illetve messengeren elérhető vagy? Küldenék képet a gépről.
Szia Viktor! Megnéztem a videót amit csináltál a csapágy illetve a dobcsillag hiba beazonosításáról.
Hi, Sorry I don't know F52. However this is what I found for F52. www.justanswer.com/appliance/6kt0m-i-m-getting-i-need-service-fault-52-fisher.html It is very strange. I would think 51 and 52 errors are related to similar issues or parts. I think you should check out the lid actuators first. You can kind of work out the issue as you watch the cycle when it registers the fault. If it is at the first minutes that means lid issue. And so on. Please let me know how do you go. Cheers. Viktor
@@viktorase yeah I found that earlier too, it’s a washing machine. Thanks anyway, your video was super helpful. I’ll try replacing the actuators next, then the controller.

A válaszod előre is köszönöm!
Hello, nem javítottam. Felénk nincsen ez a márka. De ahogy néztem ojan mint az Electrolux. Mi lenne a kérdés?
@@viktorase sajnos elkopott a csapágy. Kotyog a dob ( hátul a szíjtárcsa is ugyan annyit mozog) De még nem súrol a dob, csak hallani a csapágy hangját elég durván.
Szeretném kicserélni benne itthon, ha találok hozzá való alkatrészt.
Mennyire lenne nehéz feladat? Kivitelezhető , vagy inkább felejtős a dolog? Nekünk megfelelő ez a gép is, egyszerűen minden gépet túlél, csak most ő is betegeskedik.
Szerintem van Electrolux csapágy csere videóm TH-cam on.
Szia. Szivok egy elektrolux EWS 1250 mosogéppel. Lassan már mindent is cseréltem benne. Kondik triak a panelen, ajtózár.
PLEASE .... Do you know how to remove the front stainless steel panel?
Hi,
It slides down.
I had a F51. Turned out to be something too tall in the drawer stopping the lid closing properly
Thanks so much for this - have you had an error F1?
Hi,
No F1 error yet for me.
I believe that is water in issue. Probably the solenoid valves are not opening.
It's just a guess.
Thank you, I fixed it too~😄
Can anyone help me with reinserting the actuator? I have replaced the broken one but I cannot get it back in place.
Hi, where is your location please?
@@viktorase I've sorted it thank you! Your video was super helpful, thanks so much. I managed to diagnose my broken actuator, buy a new one for $45NZ and replace it myself.
Thank you viktor
Szia!
Köszönöm előre is a választ! 🤗
?! köszi előre is

Hello,
H07 re a fő motor problémát találtam.
Én először a motorban a szenzort cserélném ki.
Szia kérdésem lenne száritogeppel kapcsolatban, hogyan tudom felvenni veled a kapcsolatot?
Hello,

A màsodik szelepen engedi a vizet akkor letolja a mosószer adagolóba vezető(ami bilincses) csövet.Kifolyik a víz.
Mi lehet a próbléma?
Válaszod előre is köszönöm.
Hello, szerintem dugulás van a mososzer tartályban. Ott nem szabadna nyimasnak lenni.
Szia Viktor! Szuperek a videók!
Egy kérdéssel fordulnék hozzád, ha lehet. Van egy Bosch előltöltős mosógépünk, ami pár hónapja reszelő hangot add, amikor indul a forgás akkor hallható jól! Mi lehet az oka, mit kellene megnéznem ? Válaszod előre is köszönöm! Üdv, Gyula!
Hello,
A reszelő hangot a dob adja ahol bele ér a fűtő betétetbe.
A dob központosítást hogyan tudom ellenőrizni?
Illetve messengeren elérhető vagy? Küldenék képet a gépről.
@@gyulasarkozy1973 az LG dobcsillag csere ott be írod a TH-cam-on és meg tudod találni. 😉🙂
Szia Viktor!
Megnéztem a videót amit csináltál a csapágy illetve a dobcsillag hiba beazonosításáról.
Thanks Viktor. Would you happen to know what F52 error code is? Or the steps you recommend to find out?
Hi, Sorry I don't know F52. However this is what I found for F52.
www.justanswer.com/appliance/6kt0m-i-m-getting-i-need-service-fault-52-fisher.html
It is very strange.
Where about are you?
I still have the main control board that I bought for mine.
When I had the issue with it at the first time I took the actuator to pieces, moved the parts inside, cleaned the connectors and put it back together. I think it had a problem with the connector and also the mechanism stuck open.
I am in Brisbane.
I am happy to help if I can.
@@viktorase I’m in Auckland (controller is $200nzd here). I’ll take apart the actuators today and check the yokes and lid. I’ll post findings here when/if I get a result.
Szia ! Szárítógéppel kapcsolatban szeretnélek kérdezni.
Abit of spray on switch cleaner would have cleaned this up, with no need to pull the lid motor out.
Hú de lecserélném a mostani Zanussi/Indesit gépemet erre a gépre. Tetszenek a megoldásai az Európai gépekhez képest. Főleg a mérete.
Üdv,
Telefonszámot vagy emailt kérhetek, ha nem gond?
Előre is köszönöm.
Hello, ide legyszi
Köszi, írtam is.
Looks like you should have paid for a trained service technician to attend in the first place, would have saved your money.
